okay, we only realised that we had a choice between Rise and Adrift (by David Myers) after the brunch session.

Variety was limited but good enough for me, because there were some items I just repeated - grapefruit, yam cake, seafood stuffed taupok and muesli. Service was nonexistent and plates were often left uncleared - couldnt really blame them because this restaurant is rrreeaalllyyy long.

It made sense that this be the first cocktail my buddy and I get for his first visit to Singapore. He's a bartender and he'd been raving about getting an authentic Singapore Sling from its origins. We didn't get it at the Raffles Hotel, even though that's supposedly the birthplace, but where better to get it than at one of the most iconic landmarks in Singapore - MBS.

This drink is a refreshing summer cooler, which is suitable all year round in Singapore. Their interpretation of the classic cocktail uses Fords gin, Bénédictine, cherry brandy, Dry Curaçao, fresh pineapple and lime juice, soda water and Peychaud's bitters.

This cocktail leads with the pineapple juice, with subtle cherry and Bénédictine undertones. It's an easy-drinking sweet concoction that the Rise Lounge serves in a snifter.

Ghin Cheesecake — cheesecake mousse with a lemon curd centre and cookie crust bottom, dusted with icing sugar for a snow topped effect.

As the white chocolate feather aptly suggests, this dome shaped cake is as light as a feather! A tiered experience — Soft fluffy cheese mousse that first disappears in your mouth, followed by a lemon curd which unleashes its flavor and finally ending with a fragrant cookie crunch!

Top: Matcha Opera
Bottom right: Ghin Cheese Cake
Bottom left: Earl Grey Chocolate Mousse with Orange & Vanilla

The unanimous favourite of the night. Think full-on fragrance of strawberries and an optimal level of sweetness - two big reasons why this had all of us falling hard for it. We only wish it was bigger! 😆😆
