This is one of my all-time favourite dish that I had a hard time finding in today’s cze char eateries. I remember enjoying this dish as part of the cold dish appetiser items, back in the Eighties.
The Hotplate Venison 铁板鹿肉 was also a favourite 80’s dish that I remember fondly. 😊

I have two criterias for clay pot noodles. 1) Yam 2) lard. (And of course lots of vege.☺️) Every traditional clay pot noodles MUST HAVE yam! Anyway eat this with caution. 20 mins later, the noodles still scalded the inside of my mouth. 😅 But of course best thing is, it's only $5! #toogreedy #burpplecheapngood

Quite a hidden gem. Wasn't expecting to find such good tze char in a food court amongst the hippier and more famous cafes and restaurants.
We had Chilli Sauce Crayfish (lazy to peel crabs), salted egg yolk squid and assam fish head to be shared amongst 2.
Chilli sauce exactly like that of chilli crab with plenty of egg strands. Good to be mopped up with fried mantou.
Salted egg yolk squid is well-priced. Crispy and not drenched in oil & gerlart like some other places.
Assam fish head is fresh. Not fishy at all even around the fish stomach area. Sauce is very crisp and refreshing. Appetising!

What an enjoyment ~ Having the best of both worlds with this chilli crayfish!
This is the perfect dish for lazy people like myself ~ savouring and wiping the chilli crab gravy off with the deep-fried mantou buns and stuffing myself with lumps of crayfish meat without having to struggle with the cracking and peeling of flesh from crabby claws. 😋
