Ondeh Ondeh Cake is one of the Signature cakes by Skinny cakes.

Decadent yet healthy, fattening taste but is actually a Skinny cake.

Skinny Cakes is located at the station control level if Boon Keng Mrt Station. Once you exit the station control, just let your nose lead you on your way and u will arrive at their door step.

Skinny Cakes pride themselves on baking their stuff with low-sugar ingredients, hence the shop names.

Shop owner or the assistant that is tending the store is damn ultra friendly and welcoming to all customers

The aroma from the shop attracts me daily whenever I walk pass.

The Ondeh Ondeh Cake tasted really good, friends who shared the birthday cake with me will attest to its taste worthiness.

Recently, I tried some of the Mid Autumn specials from Skinny Cakes. The Pulut Hitam Mochi Snowskin ($14.50) is unexpectedly delicious - the black glutinous rice filling is smooth and aromatic, and the mochi snowskin is super soft and Q. I can see myself getting this for the next Mid Autumn Festival🥺!

I also tried the White Lotus Tart ($8.50) which is a French pâte sucrée tart with white lotus mousse, salted egg yolk creme and pistachio cream. While the white lotus mousse is quite light and not too sweet, I felt that the salted egg yolk and pistachio flavours could have been more prominent to make this tart more interesting.

Overall, the Mid Autumn specials are quite enjoyable and the creativity is on point!

This Mother’s Day weekend became a perfect excuse for cake, behold a treat yourself dessert at our large family gathering on Friday evening.
This Raspberry Rose cake had homely soft raspberry genoise sponge alternating between layers of rose cream cheese and an in house made raspberry jam with fresh raspberries. The toppings also reminded me more of cookie crumbles instead of almond sable.
I appreciated that the cake was simple yet with barely adulterated ingredient, sticking true to its flavours.
Glad that everyone was happily finishing their slice(s) even after dinner!

The bakery located at Boon Keng MRT station B1, it’s quite convenient for a quick bite. Tried cheese tofu at the cafe, since I’m curious about the taste. They said they use real tofu blend with cheese cream. Taste wise is very light, not jelak kind. Healthier choice for those who love cheesecake.

However if you ask me if I would buy it again, perhaps not. As it doesn’t have any ‘wah’ factor. Just an ordinary tofu cheesecake.

Got the dark choc chip & blueberry muffins. Muffins are mini and they go for $2 each. They put less sugar than usual which is absolutely PERFECT cos usually I find other muffins way too sweet.

The boss is also a really friendly nice lady👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
