The waffles here were decent, but I’ve had better. They were crisp but not as light and fluffy as I’d have liked.
Ordered the Earl Grey Lavender, while the Earl grey was slightly overpowered by the lavender, I liked the overall fragrance of it.
#BurppleBeyond 1 for 1 is available here for single scoop/ munchies!
Croffle might not roll off the tongue easily, however your tastebuds will thank you for it.
Using a specially formulated batter to give their waffle and croissant hybrid the latter’s distinct light, buttery stretchiness, @smittenicecreambar could possibly be kickstarting a new trend here.
The speculoos ice cream is as good a choice as any of their other offerings – creamy, none too sweet and with hidden gems of crunchy biscuit buried inside each scoop.
Thanks @burpple for the invite and @smittenicecreambar for hosting!
The essence of black sesame is infused in the charcoal-grey orb, almost overwhelmingly so. Fans of the flavour will definitely dig this, however I preferred the aromatically nutty Hazelnut Cookie Dough with chunks of soft, chewy dough bits. Both scoops were decadently velvety and props has to go to that well-executed light and fluffy waffle too.
Thanks @burpple for the invite and @smittenicecreambar for hosting!
Taste: 3.5/5
My first time trying croffles! Theirs was crispy and flakey with each bite which I enjoyed, reminds me of pastries. Quite soft when eaten with the ice cream cream which had the pandan flavour to it, unique to try! All of these are good for sharing!
Out of the 7 flavours I tried, my favourite hands down is the refreshing lychee! The entire flavour was strong lychee which was truly refreshing on a hot day with real ingredients used. The artisanal chocolate was creamy and just the right sweetness! The waffles were crispy on the outside but nothing spectacular. Lychee best.
The black sesame was strong and creamy, unique flavour and a little grainy in texture but personally, not for me. More up my alley was the hazelnut cookie dough flavour was quite sweet with small cookie bits! Cafe ambience is pleasant with a nice neon background accompanied by simple decor!
