Expect a little bit of wait during peak hours.

Beef and chicken sotbap set. Meat was very well marinated, a bit too salty for me. Could have cut down on sauce or add more rice.

Steamed need brisket. Ingredients in its raw and original flavour. You can dips on the sauce provided.

One for one maekgouli promotion going on for Google review.

Upsized the portion which came with additional 20g of cockles; cockles are well-marinated with savoury spicy sauce & have chewy texture; housemade sauce at the side is with tinge of garlic, spring onions & chilli taste, tad salty; add a little bit into the rice to elevate the taste..

Well-cooked rice in high pressure pot; with generous portion of tender eel; spring onions, sesame seed & ginger; with housemade wasabi sauce which is not salty & has strong wasabi taste; each sotbap comes in a set with soup, side dishes & steamed egg; beansprouts soup is clear yet flavorful but tad salty; steamed egg is smooth & infused with fragrant broth taste; side dishes are kimchi, beansprouts & marinated squid; delicious but marinated squid tad salty..

Opted for duroc pork collar which came with 250g of meat & 800g of veggies that are steamed in wooden box for 12 mins; meat slices are fresh & tender; came with medley of veggies (carrots, pumpkin, lotus roots, black fungus, corn, broccoli, cabbage, radish, egg plant, various mushrooms, beansprouts); natural taste with no artificial seasoning, so may be quite bland for some heavy taste eaters; came with 2 dipping sauce which is the light soy sauce & soybean sauce; love nutty, fragrant & tad citrusy soybean sauce which complement the meat well..

Went during weekend dinner and there was a long q. Rmb to make reservation beforehand. The jjim does not come with rice and we cannot order extra bowl of rice either. We chose the duroc collar set for 2pax. The meat was tender but it got all stuck together. The whole set was very clean tasting as it doesnt have any seasoning. They gave 2 dipping sauces - non spicy ssamjang and sukiyaki sauce. I think the sukiyaki sauce was better. There were refillable banchan - kimchi, spinach, cucumber and squid. Probably would not order this again but would love to try their sotbap.

If you are going for something a little lighter and great to share, the Beef Short Plate ($37.90) Pyeonbaek Jjim had a nice variety of mixed vegetables (corn, cabbage, broccoli, shiitake, pumpkin, lotus roots, black fungus, eggplant, shimeji mushroom, radish and konjac) steamed in a wooden cypress box. The impressive-looking dish has approximately 250g of tender beef slices served on top of a bed of bean sprouts. Very clean-tasting, the steamed items tasted slightly bland alone so the choice of sauce on the side really helped.
