Love this place just for how relaxing it is, indulging in an Iced Brighton (coffee with orange peel, $4) and these brioche french toasts ($8). The toasts are chewy with eggy fragrance and goes so well with the candied maple bacon - changed my mind on bacon altogether. The owners and dogs come in about noon and the place gets filled slowly with fluffy and friendly dogs. Lovely, lovely place.

9/10 ordered: chilli crab pasta, beef lasagna, truffle fries, iced brighton & mocha
i visit pretty often as love the ambiance there, and it’s pet friendly too! so many cute dogs to look at and pet if their owners allow you to :) food might not be fantastic but the ✨vibes✨ are so good there

🍊iced brighton: probably my FAVOURITE in this cafe,, coffee + chocolate + orange peel. a MUST TRY if u enjoy coffee and want something different

🦀chilli crab pasta: i don’t eat spicy foods so it kinda killed my taste buds but otherwise, a super generous portion of soft shell crab, prawn & dory as sides

🐮beef lasagna: pretty hard for this one to go wrong but i like how i didn’t get gelat after eating this one

☕️ iced mocha: a strong coffee flavour that is well balanced with the chocolate, another classic

** i love their breads, brioche in particular but i didn’t buy it this time. get the staff to toast it for you and pair with their homemade jam/butter 😍

🤔: Prob the cheapest eggs ben i've ever had, but you definitely only get what you pay for
Brioche was soggy from the eggs, and the bacon was dry and tough 🥵

Had the signature chocolate (??) latte which was really really good and lavender/chamomile/eucalyptus tea. Super cozy place

Back to my favourite dog friendly cafe where I can bring my furry little one along.

A friend and I ordered:

-Escargots ($6)
-Prawn Aglio Olio ($9)
-Chicken burger with double patties ($12)
-Garlic mash potatoes
-French fries ($2)
-Sautéed mushrooms

Support local!

Very generous amount of patty! 👍🏻 Looks more like triple than double 😂 Ordered fries to go with it and it was good, crispy and not too oily.

Very reasonably priced but it doesn’t taste the best. :/ Was too dry for my liking. Prawns was very fresh thou. Ordered mash potatoes and sautéed mushrooms as sides, mash potatoes was very good, sautéed mushroom was normal. Overall a nice pet friendly cafe with pocket friendly price!

I love escargots, can’t really go wrong with escargots. $1 per mouthful of savoury goodness, worth it 😂

Love the attention to detail with these rustic teapots. This light, floral tea is great for evening drinking if you prefer not to have caffeine. They have a full selection of other teas and take care to brew it for you perfectly.

Way more care and thought put in compared to other cafes that may charge you the same price for a tea bag.

Came for brunch with the mister. We immediately loved the ambience of this place - it is a pet-friendly cafe! Their Eggs Benny wasn't that terrific but it was worth it for the price. For a start, it was cold with some fruits topped at the side and it was pretty weird for a breakfast dish with toast to be cold. But the spinach omelet definitely made the cut. The real deal for us were actually the side dishes. The truffle fries were freshly made, and the mashed potato was great! Would definitely come back here to try the other dishes. The drip coffee was a little disappointing though, we expected them to come over and present us with the dripping process but it was just espresso heavy drink topped with ice. The mocha was however aesthetic and tasteful!

Overall the quality and time spent here was value for its price. We had coffee, truffle fries, mashed potato, two main dishes and spent almost our whole morning here.

we gave it a rate of 7/10!

Homemade Hummus spread ($4)
Brioche Bread ($1/slice , $6/loaf)

They have one of the best Hummus and brioche bread was soft and well toasted !

🤔: More expensive than most of the mains, but was okok only. Just get another main and share.

💵: $7

🤔: Egg made my bioche bread WET & SOGGY 😡😡 But probably one of the cheapest egg benedicts I've ever had.

salmon pesto pasta // $10

while it wasn’t exceptional, i thoroughly enjoyed this lovely plate of pasta. the sauce went really well with the salmon. despite its wallet friendly price, sun ray does not skimp at all as the portion was rather sizable, i was pleasantly surprised by the size of the salmon - it was well cooked and was not too dry !

they serve sky juice for free, like most of its counterparts but you can always choose to go for their drinks which are priced at as low as $2. i was told that their coffee is good but i’m not quite a fan of coffee to begin with so try at your own discretion jokes i am sure their coffee is as lovely as their sky juice kek

while the food quality can be inconsistent at times and they tend to change their menu frequently, sun ray is still a place that is close to my heart for nothing beats their cozy ambience and affordable prices.

Super generous portion and very yummy!!!! I’ve been coming back for this and haven’t gotten sick of it yet 👍🏻 Not too spicy for someone who can’t take spice.

Huge fan of their dedication to good food and affordable prices (and you can bring your dogs!). Their pastas have always satisfied and you get a generous four prawns in a tasty aglio olio pasta (though ours today was a little undercooked). But no complaints, we’ve been here many times and it’s always a great experience that’s friendly on the wallet.
