Headed to TDF on a weekday so the queue wasn’t crazy. I think we waited for roughly 5 mins and got a table already. Really like the vibes of this cafe. On weekends it gets a little bit too crowded though.
Definitely a must try dessert in their cafe! The perfection of this pancake was indescribable!
Almost everybody I know who visited Malacca definitely visited this cafe at some point. Naturally, we just had to do the same. These Pandan pancakes were priced at RM 13.90 for 5 pieces, served with some syrup and we added on vanilla ice cream for RM 3.50. I thought the pancakes on its own were a bit on the dry side which I didn’t like, but with the vanilla ice cream it’s a little better. Would I come back? Maybe.
When they say its spicy, they really mean it! The spicy tomato pasta (RM18.50) is packs with loads of chilli flakes, if you like spicy you will definitely enjoy it. However, the crossaint looking bread that served at the side is very dissapointing, soggy and oily, not good at all.
Their smoked duck aglio olio (RM18.50) is pretty good too. Thick and generous serving of smoked duck breast makes it super worth the price. Bon apetite!
Long wait for a table so we decided to takeaway coffee instead. The rose latte was fragrant, perfect with the strong coffee.

For those unfamiliiar with the hotteok or Korean pancake, it is a panfried pancake commonly stuffed with fillings ranging from Nutella to veggies. I was reminded of hotteok as these pancakes from Daily Fix were filled with Gula Melaka soaked coconut shreds. Unlike hotteok though, these pancakes were not panfried but cooked on a griddle.
✨ I thoroughly enjoyed how there was a nice balance of saltiness and sweetness. The filling had a very strong coconut flavour.
💬 However, I wished the pancake itself was more fluffy and with more pandan flavour. The dish seems to be quite controversial as two of my friends, both dessert lovers I might add, were not fans. My other friend and I who prefer savoury dishes over sweets, on the other hand, enjoyed the dish.
Other than pancakes, nothing really appealed to me on the menu. I would recommend Daily Fix for the Instagram-worthy interior and the funky pancake flavours only.
There’s salted egg yolk cream surprise in the pancake! However it’s little dry, so highly recommend to add one scoop of ice cream on top.
Rating⭐️: 6/10
A stack of pancakes with chicken bacon, sausage, served with caramelised banana and salad on the side. Such a good brunch 😊 One of the best hidden gems I found in Jonker Street Melaka. If you want to find this cafe go look for cookies 😳🍪
The café well known dessert, these housemade hot fluffy Pandan pancakes are made with 100% Pandan leave extract. Once you cut through the pancake, you can find desiccated coconut drench in Gula Malacca( palm sugar) in the centre, they even serve you some additional Gula Malacca on the side. The texture of the pancake was soft and moist. You may also add-on some soft vanilla ice cream(RM3) to pair with it. For the price you pay, I think this is so worth it. RM13 per plate.
Since the first time a local brought me here, I returned several times with guests visiting. It is always full on a weekday and trust me, you got to wait for a good 45 minutes on a weekend or public holiday. This place has become a tourist spot so please come early if you want to get a seat. From the same team behind Sin See Tai, their specialty coffee is pretty realisable. Asides that they also have special flavoured coffee like Salted Gula Malacca, seasonal blend cold brew and dark hot chocolate drinks ranging from 54% to 70%. They serve all day breakfast, pastas, salads and finger food just like any other café but their signature item that every one rave for got to be their housemade pancakes. I personally like the Pandan pancakes that serve with Gula Malacca desiccated coconut .
My first time trying and I kinda liked it. Spot the Aunty selling a selection of traditional Hakka food and kuih just outside of The Daily Fix Cafe, Melaka.
Be prepared to wait if you are there after about 10 am, I went at about 1pm but thankfully the wait was about 20 - 30 mins.
Give a shot with their Local Pancakes (13.90 RM) and say yes to the cashier when she ask if you want ice cream to go with your pancakes (a well worth extra 3.50 RM). Incredible texture, slight crisp but light pandan pancakes that came filled with gula melaka goodness.
The Daily Fix specialises in pancakes and so we ordered the must-have item, Local Pandan Pancakes. Five round Pandan pancakes (the size similar to Mr Bean) is served with a dip made of Gula Melaka and desiccated coconut. Cutting into the crispy pancakes we were pleasantly surprised to see it filled with Gula Melaka too. However, it can be a bit dry so adding on the vanilla ice cream will be a great choice. And to make it more sinful, we actually paired it with a glass of decadent Iced Gula Melaka Chocolate 😂
Caught your daily fix yet? Cascara Tea comes with a fruity taste with a tinge of wolfberry after taste, refreshing indeed! Mocha was average though.
Really impressed by the Gula Melaka Cake and the Durian Cake. Both had a sponge cake base which was fluffy but served warm, drizzled with a rich serving of Gula Melaka. The durian one had a similar base but was topped with fresh durian meat on the top, a must for durian lovers! The Lemon Cheesecake was more a miss than a hit while the carrot cake was average at best, flavourful but a tad too dry
This brownish palm sugar cake topped with desiccated coconut and drizzles of caramelised palm sugar taste quite good especially pair it with a cup of coffee for your afternoon tea break. Flat white RM10.50 and Gula Malacca Cake RM8.50 each.
- as exclaimed by an angmoh tourist (as it is tucked at the back of another giftshop). The pandan pancake was the highlight for the cafe (which tastes like kueh dardar or ondeh ondeh). We tried the salted egg pancake as well (normal pancakes with salted egg sauce, comes w a scoop of icecream),smoked duck aglio olio, squid ink risotto, cold pressed fruit juices. And it seems like 5 is the magic number for our melaka trip as everything came in 5s💞 - 5 mini pancakes each, 5 slices of smoked duck, 5 ppl max allowed at the sky tower viewing deck, 5 grilled prawns in our seafood platter from simply fish restaurant. 😁#dailyfixcafe #melaka #melakatrip #melakafood #melakacafe #burpple
