For any dry noodles, all you need is wok heiness. A small place with just a few tables but the turnover rate is quite high. For $6 you get a good mixture of clam, pork and tau pok stir fried with thick white noodles. Not forgetting the wok heiness. 😋

The wet Lala beehoon was full of flavours tasted delicious and comforting.
Flavours in their black ribs were as intense as its dark colour, juicy and tender. A Lala dish would be recommended here as they were fresh and good. The spicy bean sauce was tasty like that of chilli crab sauce but in its own way.
A humble place at the corner of Hersing Center, this would be one stop for some flavours good as home at TPY Central.

we had the set lunch that comes w a drink and side each so we got our mains with sides of oyster sauce vegetables and cai-po omelette which is not in the picture bc we started eating first oops (the other option is fried chicken bites!!) — the sides were good and we wiped them out pretty quickly 😋

their drink selection is pretty decent like 7/8 so i had iced barley and JK had iced coffee (+$0.50) — okok la but DAMN SWEET FOR US HAHAHAHA

the noodles ($8 for the set) were rly flavourful tbh i cld even smell it before i tasted it!! the noodles were cooked perfectly, rly liked the chewy texture!! it came w 3 clams, 2 lil slices of pork and afew random pieces of veg, fried egg, taupok and fish cake! the clams were fresh and while i wld like have a lil more ingredients cannot complain also la hahahaha since the star of the show is the noodles and it did shine through! the broth was rly damn good like got the wok hei vibe and it coated the noodles thoroughly yet it wasn’t too wet (u can get it in soup version though if u prefer!!)

JK got the herbal chicken ($10 for the set), which was pretty generous in size! it was tender, succulent and well cooked!! however, the herbal soup was more sweet than anything else + it was kinda salty too? it wasn’t exactly drinkable so JK only ate the chicken and had to leave the soup :( but maybe it was just supposed to be a sauce??? hahahaha idk i feel bad giving criticisms but i guess it’s constructive if they ever see this? 😅

we did wait for like 30-35mins so if u r in a rush or super hungry it’s probably not the best HAHA + we did go during lunch hour so they were rly crowded! the guy serving us was rly nice though and he seemed like he was trying his best so :’) don’t make things hard for ppl also la right!! overall i wld give this a 6.5/10? this place has the homecooked food feel so i kinda like it :~)

The clams & fried egg makes this dish very flavourful. I love the chewy QQ noodles too! It kinda reminded me of the those white bee hoon with prawns and stuff but this had a more homecooked taste. Totally true to its name! The service staff were very friendly too👍🏻😊

Burst of sweetness countered the spicy chilli. A little overcooked but overall taste was acceptable.

A Putien Style fried noodle. Because of the building constraints, the chef was not able to use real fire stove but induction stove. Despite of this, the wok hei was still able to be felt. The waiting time might be a little long but still worth the wait.

Sticky black rib. The rib was braised till tender and easily pulled away from the bone. It's dark sweet braised sauce penetrated into the meat which made it not a bad eat.

Recently opened at Toa Payoh Hersing Center by a young chef. Aspired to serve the taste of home. .

This was liked "Putien Lor Mee". Light clear broth infused with clams and pork. The sweetness was natural and clean. .

Normally I don't like to eat fried noodle. When I get into the shop, I want to eat other food. But, it is so late and near to the closing time. So, I cannot manage what I want. But, the staff from there recommend me to try this Stir Fried White Noodle. Ok..so no choice and hungry..so I order it. It is a litte bit long to wait and it is a little bit smelly(food preparing smell)..Finally, the food arrive!!! Seems normal. But.........after trying, I say wow...Combining the taste of fried egg, onion and clams, the taste is more than yummy...I recommend this one to every one.. <3

The stir-fried white noodle was prepared individually upon order thus the long wait. The white noodles pack a flavourful stock. Clams were fresh and overall the dish was very good. But I can't say about their service though. Very inconsistent. Some customers were asked to order at the counter. Some where allowed to order from their table. Same for payment. Double standard. As they are quite new (opened only 1 month ago) there are still much issues to iron out. I hope they will do so soon because their food is really good. It's a small eating place. But each of their dishes packed wonderful flavours that were distinct and tasted home-cooked.
These Black Ribs, for example, were succulent and had a dark rich and intense flavour like that of those coffee or Guinness ribs you'd find in some restaurants.
Do also try their flower clams cos they were just so fresh and tasty, and their herbal chicken with flavour that permeated throughout the meat.
