Tiramisu with a twist
.
Layers of mascarpone cheese, chocolate shavings, paired with caramel-coated blend of walnuts, hazelnuts, macadmia and almonds
.
Super nutty (hence the name). I like how The Pine Garden is generous with their nuts as I was packed with nuts in almost every bite.
.
Taste-wise, the chocolate shavings complimented the light mascarpone cheese
.

Velvety chocolate cake: made from German chocolate, sandwiched between layers of soft chocolate cake
.
I can taste the bitterness and rich chocolate flavour from the german chocolate. And the soft chocolate cake doesn’t overpower the german chocolate but rather compliments it
.

Cheesecake with an Asian twist
.
Black sesame cake layered with mochi filling and topped with black sesame cream cheese

Been hearing a lot about the pine garden and finally got down to trying it. Got the above mentioned flavours and lychee martini was a clear favourite!!!!!! They’re also having a 3 for 30% off right now so j got these three cakes for only $11.

Old school cakes w a modern twist

We bought 0.5kg of their pulut hitam cake & we loved it! It’s basically vanilla sponge w pulut hitam infused cream, so there were bits of black glutinous rice inside the sponge & the cream (which had a rich coconut flavour), which gave it a good crunch. There was also a thicker layer of pulut hitam on top so the texture & flavours were just delightful! The ratios of the cream to the sponge cake was just nice & I’m usually not a cream person (I don’t like it when cakes have too much cream) but I loved the cream in this cake bc it was so coconut-y & it just melts in your mouth. We think their pulut hitam cake is their best so far & for the price, it’s really affordable! Pulut hitam in cake form....... what’s not to love! 🤩

Got this at a discount so it was $2.90. Vanilla sponge cake topped w mangos & passionfruit cream. I would definitely say this was more on the sour side & it was more tangy compared to the other 2 cakes but it was quite refreshing & it wasn’t too sweet!

Bought this at a discount so I got it for $2.70. However we were really disappointed bc the pandan flavour was really mild & the cake gave a v grainy aftertaste (I find that all their cakes are like that). There were bits of desiccated coconut but that’s about it. Would not recommend :(

They had a promo where u buy 3 slices of cake & get $3 off (so we technically paid $2.60 for this). However, we were disappointed w this cake, it didn’t really have much of the martini taste, so it was just a v plain lychee cake. Didn’t really like the texture of the cake as well bc it gave a v grainy aftertaste. Although this was supposedly one of their bestsellers, we wouldn’t recommend this!

After a meeting with my friend around the area, I decided to drop my Pine Garden for a slice of cake ~ Bubur Pulut Hitam.

Basically partially they whipped it up with cream and spreaded in between the vanilla cake and a whole lot of it without the cream, on the top portion. Taste yummy, but a bit sweet, I still can accepted it.

@steepedteabar at the basement of the newly reopened Century Square is my current favourite place for fruit-infused tea!

They’re currently having a promotion at 1 for $3/ 2 for $5 for 3 selected teas - Soursop Sencha, Passionfruit Earl Grey & Red Peach Jinxuan.

I loved how refreshing and well-balanced all 3 drinks are - you get a bit of fruitiness without overpowering the fragrance of the tea (ok with the exception of soursop which was pretty strong but I love soursop so all’s good!). I liked that it’s freshly brewed, hand-shaken, plus they’re not too sweet so.. I’ve been back thrice within a week😛

Soft chiffon cake with gula melaka jelly(?) and bits of attap chee

Love the soft pandan chiffon cake with cream and shredded coconut

This is one of my favourite cake from Pine Garden! Pulut hitam mousse sandwiched between soft sponge cake with pulut hitam bits and topped off with more pulut hitam.

Soft sponge cake is light and fluffy, not overly sweet. Actual Pulut Hitam was lathered on top, layered with pulut hitam mousse.

Soft sponge cake is light and fluffy, not overly sweet. You can’t taste any hint of martini in Lychee Martini but lots of lychee bits.

They use whole tea leaf 🍃 and grind it using a very special machine and the fruity tastes comes from natural fruits and purees which means.. NO SYRUPS AND CONCENTRATE! 🤓🤓

Featured in the first picture is their Soursop Sencha ($4.50) 🥤 (L) and their 🍑 Red Peach Tie Guan Yin ($5) (R) and my pick out of these two would be the red peach for it had a sweeter undertone as compared to the former! But if you like your tea to be slightly bitter, soursop sencha is certainly the way to go! 😉😉

(SWIPE RIGHT) 🍐 Pear High Mountain Oolong ($4.80) has to be my favourite out of the lot! I thought that the lightness and sweetness of the pear complemented the slightly bitter Oolong tea so well that the end product is one that is smooth and light!🤩 (mini shoutout to my second favourite which is the Grape Oolong 🍇 ($5.60) which is not featured here but is equally good and is great for those who love their Hi-Chew Grape flavour 😂😂)

🎁: They’re running a 1-for-1 promotion until 30th October on weekdays from 1100-1400 so don’t miss out!!! 🎉

☕️ Thank you @steepedteabar for hosting and PK, Edison and Jess for explaining more about the tea-making process!
