I got to find out about this hidden gem when their cakes were gifted to me. I fell in love with their Strawberry Yogurt Swiss Roll! Even though I have had various other flavours like Yuzu, Earl Grey, Nutella, Raspberry and Fresh Cream, their Strawberry Yogurt is still my favourite, hands down! The cream is just so fresh and light, and the cake is spongey, offering layers in texture. I often buy the whole cakes for my family!

Their whole cakes also sell out rather early in the day, so be sure to go before 2pm if there are specific flavors you intend on getting. I have walked in at 4pm with the intention of getting cakes before and there was not a single slice left 😅 Something to also note is that the cafe closes quite early at 7pm!

Matcha Almond Crossiant ($4.80) I found that it's was quite overwhelming (milky and creamy for matcha paste) for me because it's too much matcha paste inside the crossiant.

Not So Plain Swiss Roll (Matcha) ($5.90) I liked the matcha Swiss roll's cream to be light based and not creamy or milky. You all should be trying their Swiss Roll 💯 and their Swiss Roll was quite good.

Matcha Latte (Hot) ($5.50) was quite milky and light matcha taste 🍵. I always liked matcha powder topping on the latte. 😊

They see me rollin’ they’re not hatin’ cos this roll was SUPERB. The texture of this roll was practically cloud-like and it was perfumed with the fragrant earl grey tea (speckled with some tea leaves too)! I’m such a sucker for swiss rolls and Cafe Plain Jane does them so so well! Wanna come back for their Thai Tea Roll as well!!!

Verdict: 9.5/10

Sorry for the badly taken photo I was hungry. This is the Swiss roll in black forest flavour. Taste wise, the chocolate filling is smooth and generous. The cake is soft. I love the surprise burst of cherry inside. I wish there were more cherries inside to contrast against the chocolate filling it would be great. The price is abit expensive. I think it cost about $7.90. To be fair the ambience would be great bec the deco looks nice and the staff are friendly but there is no dining in so I couldn't experience it.
