Reputed for its authentic hand crafted pastries such as the famous tau sar piah, Thye Moh Chan's 70-year old heritage forms a significant part of the Singaporean Chinese culture. Here’s an option for you if you’re not a fan of the usual baked mooncakes - Thye Moh Chan’s Teochew mung bean-based mooncakes that carry a lightly flaky pastry skin with different fillings.

2 brand new flavours joining their Mid-Autumn series this year are the Jasmine with Salted Egg Yolk and Pistachio flavours. These are alongside the signatures like Salty Tau Sar with Salted Egg Yolk, Yam with Salted Egg Yolk, Yuan Yang with Salted Egg Yolk & Sweet Tau Sar with Melon Seeds. I particularly enjoyed the savoury ones!

Available till 29 Sept at all Thye Moh Chan outlets, as well as selected BreadTalk and Toast Box outlets. 10% early bird promo on the sets till 14 Sept!

Sweet, salty bean paste with pork floss. This was surprisingly very savoury, much more than the savoury bean paste. Not bad too

This place is worth a try if you're able to Buy 4 at once at least

Red bean was of praise worthy quality and the nuts came through mildly

Yam flavour was decent too

Thats the minimum order, 4 pcs. That's pretty annoying tbh

This was pretty decent, it's slightly salty and the most impressive part is the pastry, it's got crunch and bite but not dry. Solid stuff
