Because in Chinese it's fried egg, which is a homophone for bomb. For me the best creation at Tiong Bahru Pau. Egg and meat encased in dough. Delicious.

We both agree that even in Toa Payoh, there are many eating options but somehow we couldn’t quite find our fav restaurant. However, this pau stall is a must try! Pork bun taste very nice both the skin & pork filling. Siew Mei might not look photogenic but they are smashing good!! #tastyeat #toapayoh

for $1, the size of this char siew sou is decent. there was a substantial amount of filling enclosed within the crisp layers of buttery puff pastry. i wished it was warmer when i bought it, but the char siew had a subtle sweetness along with bits of fatty meat that made this a great snack.

Juicy Siew Mei and yummy pork bun taste better than some Pau places we tried elsewhere. No wonder why long queue some day. Recommended for quick snack! Good for sharing 2 persons $6.40 in total 👍🌟
