Pork was very tasty, needed more sauce. Maybe choose the curry rice over the Hamburg dish. Orh nee cake and drinks were yummy.

Specially for travelling down frm North East to Jurong for trying their popular curry rice. ($6.90) I felt that their curry spice is mid tbh but pork cutlet slightly overcooked hence I felt that it's quite hard to chew and the outer filling was really crispy and crunchy. photo credits: huiyi ✌

Only serious cheesecake lovers will love this strong, pungent, dense and heavy cheesecake. Super duper "Gao" pure white cheesy cake in a crunchy yet crumbly tart crust. Its best to share this cake as you might feel jelak overtime. That being said, I don't mind just having their tart crust.🤣

Classic chocolate sponge cake layered with chantilly cream, and chocolate cream with black cherries plus rum infused. Traditional and flavour at its best. The booziness from the rum can be felt through the entire cake despite being small in portion. So yummy! Awesome!

Traditional strawberry shortcake was smooth, creamy, light and fluffy. The cake was layered neatly between light & airy sponge and mellow sweet chantilly cream with diced strawberries in it, then topped with a whole strawberry. Usually cream are jelak, but theirs is not. It so smooth and pleasant to the mouth.

All in for desserts! @tobys_kopi_toast_bakery dedication in making these old school cakes is bound to satisfy everyone of all ages.🥰
Ranging from the classic like black forest to modernise like ondeh ondeh or durian cake. The cakes brought contentment to us.🤗

This is bombz. Flavoursome, smokey and sweet savoury ribs sides with homemade coleslaw and crispy thin fries with house seasoning. Dayummm... The ribs was really great. Its so damn soft! Plus the sharp and tangy BBQ sauce coated over the ribs increases the taste exponentially. The flavour run deep from the meat to the bones. The meat were easily detached from the bone and were succulent. Fries were surprisingly crispy and well-seasoned. Coleslaw with mayonnaise had a clean refreshing taste to neutralise the strong ribs.
Definitely a dish I will order again.

I can have this anytime of the day. 2 wobbly creamy egg, fine crispy toast with thick slab of butter and rich, lusciously and coconutty kaya within; then goes with a cup of classic kopi/teh.
I change the classic coffee/tea to Ginger Milk Tea($1.40), so the set price become $4 which is still affordable. The milk tea was perfect. The ginger taste did not overwhelm the milkiness and the tea. No astringent tea taste too. You know your local kopi or tea is going to be awesome when the maker pulled before serving. So Shiok Siah!

Homemade Dumpling Noodle($5.90), on the other hand, was a tad disappointing.😢 Handmade plain noodle in a bowl of unsatisfying and rather basic soup, topped with thick skin dumplings and crunchy lettuce. If you going for healthy, this will be the right dish but if you looking for taste, skip it. Noodles were not slurpy enough and doesn't absorb the soup flavour well. You can taste the contrast of the ingredients in that bowl. Dumplings meat were alright I guess.

Buddy Meal($11)🤤
Choice of either curry rice or noodles and a free drink - calamansi or water chestnut.
Pork Belly Curry Rice($6.90) was lit!😘 Steamy fluffy rice flooded with sweet and mild spicy curry gravy, side with crunchy cabbage, melt in the mouth braised pork belly and a sunny-side up. A hearty meal. The pork belly honestly was fantastic. Strong braised flavour and the meat was so soft and tender that it can literally disintegrate from your mouth.

Who would have know you get to find affordable yummy food in the industrial area located at the west of Singapore. @tobys_kopi_toast_bakery , located in TradeHub 21 is a relaxing place for all walks of life to take a break, have a meal and catch up with life.

The Curry Rice will cost $6.90 per plate if we are taking ala carte, without the buddy meal. The meal was simple with a slab of Pork Cutlet chopped uniformly into sizes, a sunny side up egg and braised vegetables.

The curry rice was executed in the Hainanese Style way where rice was both drenched in curry sauce as well as black braised sauce. The pork chop was deep fried with rough biscuits crackers on its batter and maintained a good thickness. It looked a bit dry but they did go well with the generous amount of gravy given.

For the price point, there is no complains. Quite a big bowl and is filling.

Suppose to come with coleslaw but i changed it to fries. The pork ribs was tender and can be easily sliced off from the bones. Some parts of the meat abit dry. The fries were sprinkled with paripika powder. I feel that it is value for money and the prices are nett.

Aside from serving absolutely amazing mains, Toby's also serves a huge variety of cakes, including chocolate cakes, lychee cakes, durian cakes, yam cakes, rainbow cakes, cheesecakes... We were spoilt for choice! We tried the Ondeh Ondeh Cake and the Chocolate Nutella Cake and man were they some goooood cakes 😋

🍰 Ondeh Ondeh Cake ($7.90)
With an aromatic pandan cake base, coupled with fragrant coconut milk cream, coconut flakes and brown sugar coconut, this cake is a coconut / pandan lover's dream. It's not heavy on the palate and all the flavours are brought out well.

🍫 Chocolate Nutella Cake ($6.90)
This chocolate cake is moist and fluffy, with layers of nutella-flavoured cream in between. A really classic choice for a cake, and definitely really delicious! Like the ondeh ondeh cake, it's light and not heavy on the palate. It's also not too sweet. I think what would make this cake better is if there were layers of actual nutella too to make the nutella taste pop. But overall such a good cake!

Toby's is a diner located at Tradehub21, boasting a variety of spectacular mains, drinks and cakes. The atmosphere is lovely, a really comfortable spot to dine and catch up with friends. We tried the BBQ Baby Ribs and Chicken Cutlet Curry Rice, and let me tell you now that this is the best meal I have had in a long time!

🍖 BBQ Baby Ribs ($10.90) (10/10)
If tenderness could be embodied, it would be embodied in this glorious rack of ribs. The meat just slides off the bone so cleanly and easily. And my knife sliced right through it like room temp butter. The flavours of the bbq sauce are rich and tangy, and make the ribs all the more wonderful. Plus those FRIES are spectacular, being really crisp and well seasoned throughout. My friend who accompanied me usually dislikes pork cuz of how tough it can be, but absolutely loved this and rated it 10/10, so do I!

🍛 Chicken Cutlet Curry Rice ($6.90) (9.5/10)
The chicken cutlet is really crispy on the outside while the meat is flavourful and tender. One of the best cutlets I've had! The egg is really well-cooked too, with a slightly runny centre. GLORIOUS. The rice, curry and cabbage are quite average in taste, but together with all the other elements, it's a fantastic dish that is both tasty, generous in portion and super affordable. A must try too!

Sliced cakes here at TOBY's certainly looks very good.

With many many choices, really don't know which 1 to get.

End up taking the best looking one. $7.90 for a sliced of orh nee cake.

Quite expensive though.

But their cakes look too good, will return again to try their other cakes.

Despite its inconvenient location in Jurong East, they managed to draw the industrial office crowd, which eventually became their loyal customers. Long story short, their food didn’t disappoint at all. Special mention goes to their fork-tender BBQ Baby Ribs, which was IMO super affordable and well-executed.👍
