Had high expectations for this place because of its many good reviews. But I immediately had an adverse impression when I entered because the waitress kept hounding us for which website we made a reservation on (even though we couldn't remember) even before showing us to a seat. This was despite the fact that the restaurant was 80% empty... |
Well, I'm not a stickler for impeccable service, so I didn't actually think much of that. I mean, the food would make up for it, right? WRONG. When the pizza arrived, it wasn't even the taste that disappointed us. It was the fact that the pizza wasn't very warm and didn't taste freshly baked at all. I don't usually complain to waiters (I've even finished a 'well done' 1kg steak before 🙄) but I felt that a pizza that wasn't even freshly baked was too much. Gingerly, I waved a waitress over to ask for them to just warm up the pizza. And? She said that they couldn't do that because they've put the smoked salmon on top already. Without apologising at all. Oh well. So much for high hopes. |
At least the rigatoni restored some points for the restaurant, though. The pasta was fresh and chewy while the pesto was fresh and fragrant. The buffalo cheese was also quite substantial and creamy. And I like how there was an abundance of sauce to scoop up and savour. 😋 Too bad the experience of other areas here was bad...

Food tasted alright, but the price is of the high side. But 1 pizza is good for 2 pax. Bring more friends along so can order a wider spread of food.
Location is very good, at 313. Easy to locate.
This dish is the definition of LOADED! So much seafood that the risotto beneath is completely obscured. Toppings were generally fresh with the exceptions of a few tightly clammed-up clams (haha). Rice grains were moist yet firm and saturated with a well-seasoned sauce. Definitely gonna order the funghi version when I come back!
Is this lil’ eatery hiding a wood-fired pizza oven in their kitchen?!? Because I was definitely impressed by the strong char of this pizza’s thin crust! Also enjoyed the modern twist of salmon & avocado toppings - a blatant appeal to the millennial’s palate but hey, it works!
Stretchy ooey-gooey mozzarella (yes, it came with the cheese pull that we all know and love) encapsulating molten and creamy innards of stracciatella. Pity I didn’t capture the moment we plunged a knife into the skin, causing the insides to flow out!
We always have a soft spot for fresh made tagliatelle. Overall, this was tasty without being jelak. Some Italian Parma ham rock melon and spicy pork patté toasts were good starters for the meal.
Oreo milkshake, carbonara and pizza. Oreo milkshake was thick and full of oreos. Highly recommend!
Carbonara was really creamy with perfect consistency. I really dislike it when my carbonara is too watery or just WAY too thick. This is really perfect and has LOTS of chunky bacon inside.
As for this pizza, it was super cheesy and meaty which was really good too. This has pepperoni and sausage. You should try this one if you're a meat lover.
~ $35/pax
Ordered the Fried Calamari and Zucchini (SGD15.9) and Parma Pizza (SGD27). Both were very average so the food is not worth it in my opinion. Going there for drinks during happy hour is pretty worth it though as there are 12.90 cocktails and 1 for 1 draft beers.
Surprisingly a good find. This Italian restaurant serves finest food especially this lasagna is darn good with matching red wine. The taste is overwhelming that u even want to have another serving. If u are a meaty person this lasagna is definitely for u ❤️.
#madpizzacravings pt 2: Parma pizza ($27.90), the classic combo of parma ham, rocket leaves and shaved mozzarella. More rocket to balance out the salty parma ham would've been great!
#madpizzacravings led to me greedily going for this Four Cheese pizza ($25.90) - every cheese fanatic's dream, with gorgonzola, scamorza smoked cheese, mozzarella and parmesan. I'm a sucker for crispy thin crust, but I thoroughly enjoyed the doughy crust which boasted a nice crunch!
What did you had for lunch? Mine was linguine vongole. Highly recommended!! Flavourful with mild spiciness to tickle the palate. *Thumbs up*
