πŸ’¬ Wow calling this broth rich is an understatement- the broth was so rich, it could call Elon Musk poor. Each sip was jam-packed with flavours; it was sweet, it was umami and very crab-y. Almost like I was drinking a crab instead of eating it, certainly a feast for your tastebuds. Up next, the ramen noodles; which were a little softer than what I would usually prefer, and they were also not very springy. However, it still does a good job trapping the broth in-between the strands, delivering that umami bomb right into your mouth. The crab meat and pork slices were all extremely delicate and tender, with the chashu breaking apart the moment I tried lifting it. There was also this tomato purΓ©e with minced crab meat and a blob of sour cream, which I assume were there to balance out the flavours of the broth. However after thoroughly mixing them up, I felt that it did not add much to the soup as perhaps intended. Have to admit the whole bowl was rather one dimensional but hey if you are a crab-lover like me, this bowl definitely hits the spot!

Finally trying this place. Queues for quite a bit but nothing too long. Tried the tonkotsu broth and it was really delicious. This flavour was black pepper with garlic. I loved the flavour of this soup, however, it got a bit too bitter at the end with an overwhelming garlic taste. But the first half of the bowl was really good. The flavoured egg was so amazing! The best I’ve ever tried. It’s not just your normal ramen flavoured egg, rather, it has a slight charred flavour that added a great taste to it. Would always add it from now on! Can’t wait to try other sobas.

I loved this! It has a pleasant sweet note with a light taste, complementing very well with your bowl of ramen. Furthermore, it’s a pot that is constantly refillable and you can share it with a few people. So it’s really worth it for $3.80.

A rather meh bowl of soba... Noodles tasted more ramen thn soba and soup has a light scent of truffle. Nothing much to shoutout on, considering the fact tht they are the first michelin star ramen πŸ€”

It’s such nice to eat a ramen from my favorite restaurant tsuta after a cold day

Unknowingly stumbled into a ramen joint with many accolades - a Michelin star in Japan, and it rests amongst Singapore Tatler’s best restaurants! We opted for the ajitama ramen in tonkotsu ($13.80++) and kurobishio ($14.80++) soup. The firm noodles were served with a thin slice of marbled char shu and a flavoured egg! The tonkotsu was a tad too salty and thick, but certainly bursting with flavour. The kurobishio was extremely fragrant, given the use of handmade garlic oil. Upgrades to set meal are free on weekdays, so we got our bowl with hot wheat tea and a choice of sides. We opted for the gyoza and chicken karage - both really impressed us! The dumplings were filled with high quality meat and served with a punchy chilli sauce. The karage was extremely tender, its meat encased in light batter that tasted exactly like soft shell crab. Would be happy to make a return visit!
