First time trying out their croissants really impress me. I have choose their Tuna Mayo Croissant ( RM11) & Fresh Orange Juice ( RM13). The croissant is so crispy and yummy. They actually have plenty choices to let you put as the topping. Give a try if you love croissants.

Pesto calls for basil, garlic, olive oil, salt, pepper and cheese as the basic of basics. Oh and let's not forger pine nuts. But fear not my nut allergic comrades! The pesto chicken pasta with a long fancy french name from Yeast Bistro is nut-less!

Opened by a French married to a Malaysian Chinese, Yeast has been around for a very long time and is famous mostly for their pastries. Yes all you Yeast tart fanatics, I hear you.

Expect your menu to have intimidating sounding French names with lots of Γ©,Γͺ,Γ’ and the such and if you're like me, you'll save yourself the effort and just point at the damn thing.

The pesto chicken pasta (I'll just call it that cause the name of the dish was so long my short term memory went into shock) was priced at RM 37 pre-GST (no 10% service charge) and came in a reasonable portion. Pasta was not al dente (apparently some customers complained that it was undercooked) which is how I like my pasta and not seasoned enough. It was ok. A little lacking in flavour, not something Over Dosing on table salt and pepper cannot fix. Chicken was nicely flavoured tho. But why would you season they would season their chicken nicely and underseason their pasta is beyond me.

It wasn't bad. But meh, how wrong can you go with a pesto pasta anyway?...ok maybe I don't want an answer for that.

Newly open Boulangerie in midvalley which is fairly busy.. The environment there is alright but not like the telawi one.. Their mini raspberry tartlet is really dainty yet delicious if you just opt for a bite of sweets and a perfect size as tea time treat

A cosy French themed restaurant on bangsar. Thoroughly enjoyed both plates of pastas even thought the carbonara got a tad cloying towards the end due to its richness. Nonetheless, cosy little place for once in a while indulgence.

Behold! The holy grail of all chocolates! This tart is made with the best chocolate in the world, Valrhona chocolate that is and it's mighty glorious! It's bitter yet smooth and the sugar isn't over powering at all.. Every bite of this tart is a harmonious bite that guarantees you smiling with happiness, like I do when I had it! Yums! 😊😍

Having a relax afternoon read read books, looking at chefs serving plates and plates of kitchen art. But I did not really enjoy my pastry as I am not a sweet tooth myself. However, definitely can come back to try their proper meal. The smell from next table is too good!

Opened by Christophe Chatron-Michaud and his Malaysian-born wife, Yeast combines a boulangerie, bistro and wine bar under one roof so you can be completely spoilt by everything French. The Chausson aux Pommes, an apple turnover, is well executed - stewed apples encased in a crispy, light pastry. If you're feeling adventurous and want something savoury, go for the Smoked Duck Cheese Puff! Typical French food like Ouefs Cocotte and Pain Perdu are served for breakfast daily. It'll be hard not to leave with some breads and pastries! (If you have dinner there, you get a complimentary bread basket - kinda like killing two birds with one stone.)

It's really a beautiful master piece from the French boulangerie! It's a really great pick me up that wake you up with lemony and citrus notes.. It goes well with the meringue that is rich and sweet yet there is a balance for these flavours to exist as one..

Looking for a great spot for tea and pastry? Look no further than Yeast, a charming Parisian bistro, boulangerie and wine bar all in one. While it's reputed for brunch and dinner, the pastries and tarts here deserve your full attention. The Pain Au Chocolat - in all its simplicity -will make you swoon. Indulge in warm, buttery puff pastries like the tuna croissant and the Nutella puff, and finish off with a sweet, fresh strawberry tartlet that just might be the best in the country. The smell of freshly baked bread will make it hard to resist buying everything in sight, and you might find yourself carrying a few loaves home. Although Yeast has higher prices than most, Burpple Tastemaker Edric Lee says, "it may be expensive but it's definitely worth it".

β€οΈβ˜€οΈ #feelingblessed. πŸ‘¨πŸ‘§ Runny poached-eggs, fresh smoked salmon, topped with BΓ©arnaise sauce on brioche toast ! 😱😱 Talk about quality food !

Tutti fruity tart. Assorted fruits on a cheese tart. Yum!
Food: 8/10 Price: 6/10 (RM 16. Yes..Yeast has a very expensive menu tbh. But it's a place for a rare treat!)

Had coffee and pastries at YEAST! I have a soft spot for this divine place. I like the environment and food here. Who doesn't like pastries/bread aka dessert and coffee!
Clockwise: Hazelnut latte, Valhorna Chocolate Mocha, Pain Au chocolat, two Hazelnut Cappuccino and Tutti Fruity tart.
I had a taste of everything. But my coffee was the hazelnut cappuccino. It's amazing! So tasty. Fell in love with the taste. Definitely my must have drink everytime I visit yeast now! Mocha didn't taste so good. The chocolate was too thick and you'll get sick of it after half a glass. No art too :( Their coffee is just win! Latte and cappuccino. Both amazing. Great balance. I love how less acidic the coffee is. 😊

Tutti fruity tart. GET IT. MUST HAVE. OMG the fruit is amazing, not too sweet. Tart is great! Ah I can have it all by myself. A great high tea option.
Chocolate croissant/Pain Au Chocolat. So good! Very light puff pastry. Chocolate is chocolate. Which is delicious. Lol. But I would prefer if the pastry was more flaky.
Food: 8/10 Price: 6/10 (RM 65++ overall. Yes a very expensive place. Good place for nice treat for brunch and high tea though).

Price: RM17
My opinion:-
One of the best egg dishes I've tried so far πŸ˜‹!! Two soft boiled eggs over spinach and mushrooms with a cheesy cream sauce and a piece of bread on the side. Eggs were runny and perfectly made and the sauce goes really well with the spinach and mushroom. Definitely a big thumbs up from me πŸ‘πŸ‘

Upon M's recommendation, I sampled the oeufs cocotte (left) while she had the oeufs mollets florentine (bottom right). The former was perfection in a ramekin - two soft baked eggs with smoked duck cubes and a thin gruyere cheese crust with a slice of farmer's bread and greens on the side. M seemed to enjoy her eggs florentine - two perfectly boiled eggs with a twist of mushroom and gruyere cheese. We paid close to RM100 for the two dishes, the best mango tart (not pictured, but chilled, and very very good) and three drinks, which is a little steep. But in a market where excellence is rare, Yeast comes highly recommended.

Coffee fix of the day.

I'm not really a fan of spinach quiche. But it was surprisingly good. Food: 6/10 Price: 6/10

Eggs Benedict. VERY satisfied with the poached eggs. Kudos to the chef. Brioche bread is fluffy and nice. Fresh salad and delicious smoked turkey. You get a choice of salmon or turkey. :) Food: 9/10 Price: 7/10
