A relatively popular WTM store here at 6th avenue, with a decent enough Google rating(4.2) and with a backing of a steady queue during a sleepy Sunday morning breakfast.

To be honest, expectations were rather too high due to such signs, and sadly, this WTM was slightly above average at best.

The Char Siew was rather dry, but the noodles were springy and the sauce was good. The wanton and dumplings were good.

Overall, it had a very old school taste for a WTM. If pass by, can try. But not worth the effort to travel specially for this

Popular among the residents around Bukit Timah, and you would see people coming to takeaway a few packages early in the morning. Queue would get longer on weekend as the sun rise.

You still see the grandma taking care of the front stall, while the younger people work behind the stall making orders.

Pretty much an old school taste with so tingly noodle. The char siew definitely lean. The soup was tasty, while the wantons inside are wrapped with minced pork meat.

Sixth Avenue Wanton Mee is still open during this circuit breaker period, with safe distancing measures in place. When I arrived late morning on a Saturday, there were about 5 people in the queue. But since I had pre-ordered, I skipped to the front of the queue with my confirmation number, & paid up to collect my food. Quite shiok 😁

Popped round the corner to buy some coffee, returned to wait for my food & it was done really quickly. It's quite rare to see 3 generations working together at a hawker stall. Thank you for staying open & continuing to feed us with your delicious noodles!

6th Ave Wanton Mee has a simple menu of various noodle dishes such as Dumpling Noodles 水饺面 ($4.00 nett) & Wanton Mee 云吞面 ($3.50 nett), but my all-time favourite is their Mushroom Noodles 香菇面 ($4.00 nett, on the left).

It's my go-to default dish whenever I am here. The mee kia noodles are perfectly bouncy, & the mushrooms plump & juicy. My mum finds the mushrooms bitter, though, & preferred her Wanton Mee. I guess she dunno how to 吃苦 (jkjk sorry mum).

I placed my order via Facebook messenger the night before (7:00PM cut-off time), & let them know I would bring my own clean containers to minimize waste. When your order is confirmed, you'll get a confirmation number.

Have been patronising this stall since idk when, and this sees queues in the morning! The soup is good, noodles al dente and the ytf items are tasty. The ytf items are given at random, so it depends on ur luck. Today I was lucky and got stuff I like for all 5 items! I like the eggplant & taukee most, followed by the taukwa, fishball and taupok. Sometimes I get bittergourd & okra, both of which I don’t eat.
