And the best of them all, the foie gras macaron. Balances savoury and sweet nicely in one rich, flavourful (expensive) bite. WEW.
A dining experience unlike anything else in Singapore - for fanatics of the Japanese spirit of artistry and perfection. Clean, wooden furnishings and the respectful silence put you at ease. This dish in particular was every unagi don you've had - elevated. The pickles don't bite, but appetise. The unagi melts like butter and the rice is grainy, loose yet sticky. The sweet sauce doesn't leave a film on your tongue. Respect to Chef Hatch for doing so many things right.
A little humble corner Zichar place hidden from the main road. The salted egg yolk prawn is really so awesome that I ate it together with the shell. Everyone on the table was raving about this dish.
A little humble corner Zichar place hidden from the main road. The timing was perfect with the fish retaining its moist. The highlight for me is the sauce that goes really well with the fish.
Love the texture of fried enoki mushroom against the toufu. 😍😍😍
Includes a welcome tipple and Raines sandwich. Great start to any evening. 😉
This one is strictly for the adults. Sunday brunch ($150++) at the Manhattan Bar at Regent Singapore is no doubt a feast fit for kings (and queens). Just stepping inside says it all — the decor is grand but welcoming, luxurious, and elegant. Live out those dreams of decadent Sunday brunches slurping down freshly shucked oysters, scooping up smoked foie gras, tucking into various cheeses, smearing your bagels, cutting into fluffy pancakes... The list goes on. You can expect very good cocktails to go with your food — you'll even get to customise your Bloody Mary with your favourite hot sauce and garnishes. Of course, a cocktail brunch isn't complete without boozy desserts!
I think we deserve a drink, having made it through the week. Head on down to KUVO for their cocktail and tapas promo happening daily from 5-8pm. $12 drinks and $3 tapas! Deets in new blog post on www.ms-skinnyfat.com active link in bio!
I am not a pastry chef and never a food connoisseur, but if a place is so good that I keep going back then it must serve some pretty kickass stuff. I lost count on how much I have raved about the tarts or recommend it to my friends, but if you are going to Tarte by Cheryl Koh, please do try the Cherry Tart ($9). The sweetness from the Spanish cherries and lightness of the vanilla cream is just pure bliss and indulgence. Together with the buttery pastry crust, it's just amazingly good. Best to consume them on the spot or within three hours upon takeaway.
humble little shop tucked in the heartlands. love their strawberry shortcake and ginger brulee tart.
Love the small bites, so you can try more variety! Soft, fragrant, and not too sweet!
The restaurant served only one dish and they did it right! Not only they used spices in their recipe, the owner perfect it by the additional Chinese herb

The curry sauce had no trace of fishy smell and it was so smooth that it could be drank like a soup. I loved to dip the fried bean curd skin into the sauce - savory comfort food!!! 😍😍😍

Sadly, the one I tried was rather oily but because so many of my friends recommended me. I will be giving it a second try
