Salty Bleu cheese, Sweet burnt onion marmalade, bacon atop a mouthwatering beef patty. Try resisting that. For me the Bleu cheese, bacon and grilled onion was gourmet calibre but the beef patty is not better than some others I have in mind. However what was worth mentioning is the walnut raisin buns that held all these goodness together. It is firm enough so you don't end up eating beef patty from your hands!
It's as if air and batter were spun together to weave these exquisite quadrants of crunchy, yet floatily light Belgian style waffles. Such superior specimens deserve a befitting ice-cream, and that big scoop of Kapiti's ultra-creamy fig and honey flavour more than delivered.
It's also thoughtful of Artistry to serve the maple syrup in a tiny jug for customers to control the exact amount of sweetness they prefer. Speaking of maple syrup, they serve the real deal here. Not the fake, too-sweet (and cheaper) liquid that is all too prevalent.
Tried two burgers (pretty normal), soft shell crab (a bit too oily), cheesy meatballs (that is really legit because cheese really do explode out and splatter all over-that's what happened to me) and salted caramel cake (very moist but because the servings is huge, it's better to share with people so it doesn't get too jelat towards the ending)!
Adobo Pork Ribs, heavily influenced by Filipino traditional dish. This was close to perfection, given at their fine quality of the ribs was served and the super generous portion which value for money! This is a dish, you should not miss out when you're here @ A for Arbite!

Haven't been cafe-hopping much lately, decided it's time to try a new place today. Picked a random spot from Burpple recommendations, and here I am :) Decor here is just as the cafe name suggests - very "pop culture", bold and loud. Vibrant place, although food is so-so and quite pricey. Free WiFi available, just politely ask the shop owners for the password :)

Sadly their pork knuckles($12) were sold out, had their truffled mushroom pasta($8) and sirloin steak ($12) instead, food was pretty decent with the quiet chill ambience with a bottle of beer($6). All prices are NETT, sweetening the experience.
Start with the beautifully cooked sous vide octopus salad, and tuck into either the pork belly or the duck confit puff for decadent mains. Jean Teo describes Spathe as having '... such a great vibe and ambiance for friends catchup and romantic dinners.'
