Not only the spiciness didn't jeopardized the taste of the soup. It actually refreshed the taste bud and excited the appetite again.

Go Chimaek ์น˜๋งฅ!

This is from Chir Chir ์น˜๋ฅด์น˜๋ฅด, you get deep fried chicken tenders swimming in a pool of rich creamy white sauce, a scoop of sweet salad hidden below, and a swirl of fresh whipped cream to top it all.

Feel like you need to drown your sorrows? Get happy with this thoughtful combination โ€“ the beer provides the alcohol, the whipped cream provides the sugar.

Fun fact: @chirchirsg makes their own whipped cream! ๐Ÿฃ

So here's the story behind this beer and whipped cream combi: it was first created by some youths in Hongdae (a district in Seoul that is popular among teenagers and young adults). Its popularity caught on when a Korean drama featured it in an episode, in which the lead actress took a sip โ€“ or maybe it was a gulp, because there's no way to reach the beer under all that sweet stuff otherwise, leaving a "moustache" across her upper lip which the lead actor found so alluring that he promptly plonked a wet one on her smackers ๐Ÿ’‹. Kiss, anyone? Lol.

Back again in less than 24 hours but this was a planned trip some time ago. We had the Earl Grey, Salted Butterscotch (which I had with the waffle yesterday), Horlicks Panda and White Chocolate Speculoo flavours. Earl Grey has a strong tea aroma to it that's pretty soothing for a hot day, while the White Chocolate Speculoo tasted of thick Milk Chocolate with cookie dough spiked with spices such as ginger and cinnamon though both flavours are a bit grainy due to its condiments. The Horlicks Panda is not a flavour that immediately appeals to most, but slowly lures you in with its malty taste with a hint of biscuit bit flavours.

thai milk tea - the milder version (less sweet). But I still prefer the thicker thai version.

Truffle tonkatsu with multigrain rice set. Could smell the truffle before the set reached my table but there was barely any truffle taste when I ate it though. At least the pork was really tender. Love the multigrain rice with beans inside! With free flow lettuce and free green tea for $17.00(after gst & tax), this was really worth it!

Miharu has moved to Millenia and is now closed at Robertson Quay. Menu is updated again and my usual choice is now #13. Still as good, and the space is 3x bigger. Ramen in comfort!

Very brave indeed. Come to think of it, we often order this steamed egg dish at Japanese family restaurants, but usually only as an appetizer.
