It's always great to meet up with new friends in the foodie community and share our good eats. It's also heartwarming to get an opportunity to speak to the chef and learn about the story that goes behind each dish. My favourite dishes from The Betterfield has got to be the Pulled Duck Burger ($20) and Secret Thai Chilli Chicken ($14.50). The zesty, refreshing and spicy Thai chilli concoction makes everything tastes better and will make you want more. And yes, I did not waste any and cleared most of the sauce on the plate.

For $19.90 id say its a really good steal! And the caiprihna has a strong kick for $9.90 #SETHEATS

Warm, comforting Crab Claypot Bee Hoon(from $20) - What I liked was the milky, fragrant broth which had yam, gingery & crab roe flavours, slippery thick bee hoon and fresh crab with solid meat! Cheap cheap good good and SHIOK!

Now, would you prefer this or the 3 for $20 Kovan Crabs? I think would be a pretty tough fight!
Recommendation from @fatboygoodeats! Thanks and #thanksburpple

This is a very old school meal dished out by an elderly man who can retire anytime but choose to carry on as he loves to cook. Opens only on Friday, Saturday and Sunday the queue can be long but worth the wait. Go try it before this elderly couple calls it a day.

The hawker centre in itself is a cool place to check out. Reconstructed stalls to look like rows of shophouses, with many interesting cuisines like Vietnamese and Ramen.
Back to this dish, the soft boiled egg is served with The Burning Oak's signature homemade sauce. At the moment it is nameless but definitely memorable.

Chilled Dark Cocoa in a bottle, this one is very similar to their Cold Brew. Valrhona Dark Cocoa was adequately thick, at the same time being sweet and malty; comparable to their white cold brew. Pretty worth the try.

Decent chili. Having different noodles for once can be good at times. The fried dumpling wasn't very nice though. Soup was pretty good!

Visited the stall at the coffee shop thrice to find it twice closed. Finally the uncle tell me it closes at 2.30pm. It is very similar to the one at hill street tai hwa! The small bits of fried flatfish are my favorite and at $4.50 after upsizing, are way more worth it than tai hwa! Overall it's pretty delicious!

My favourite BCM since young. This is the type where it has no meatballs at all. It's super good when you add lots of black vinegar. And I love how sweet the soup is! One word: SHIOK 👍

It was love at first bite. Gently lifting a slice of the thick slabs of juicy, caramelized barbecued roast pork, we placed it into our mouth. The warm, sweet and sticky notes gravy coated our palate, each bite bursting with flavors of honeyed meat. We wanted more.

Oozing with sweet, meaty juices caramelized from being slow roasted over 72 hours using a mix of French and Chinese techniques (before baking until golden), each piece of char siew is crisp to the bite, its beautifully charred edges adding just the right amount of texture and crunch between its fork-tender interior.
