Located inside Sugarhaus, Fat Belly opens only in the evening at 6PM.

There are 10 counter seats available but you can also sit at Sugarhaus once it is filled up (subject to seats availability).

The Flat Iron ($22) & Short Rib ($25) comes with a house salad and chimichurri sauce. I would recommend the Short Rib if you prefer your beef with a little more marbling compared to the leaner cut of meat in The Flat Iron. They are both enjoyable but I personally prefer my steak to be char-grilled.

There are 4 sides (Creamed Kale, Sauteed Mushrooms, Truffle Fries & Mac & Cheese) available and they are priced at $5 each.

Waa Cow's Signature Wagyu Beef Donburi comes in the option of Aburi/ Mentaiko/ Truffle, with the regular sizes ranging from $19.90-$22.90. For hungrier people, upsize for more beef or add uni for $9.

Each bowl comes with niigata Japanese rice that's lightly charred, runny egg that adds silkiness to the rice when mixed; and tobiko for an additional crunch. Sous-vide, flame-torched with Nikiri sauce, the resulting beef was smoky, sweet and tender.

Personally prefer the creamy mentaiko but truffle fans will be pleased to know its flavour comes through for the truffle bowl without being too overwhelming, and of course, go for the aburi bowl for something simple yet equally delightful.

Finally got to try The Bakery by Woodlands Sourdough.

I was so intrigued by the flavours that I had to try them all. Ranging from $3-5, these toasts are affordable options for brunch. With unique flavours like "hummus & za'atar", "peanut butter & Sriracha" and "vegemite & cheddar", it'll definitely be an interesting meal.

My favourite is the popular "sage cream cheese & berry compote". The tanginess of the cream cheese complements the sweet of the berry compote as well as the sourness from the sourdough toast. And of course, the sourdough is AWESOME. It's not hard and tough but fluffy with a beautiful crust. Will definitely come back. #burpproved

Would this be the ultimate beef ramen? The tonkotsu broth here was simmered for 48 hours to full extract every flavour from the ingredients used. four. tee. eight. hours!

They serve various ramen with different beef toppings, but this particular bowl had all their beef toppings in a bowl: slow-roast oxtail, braised beef tendon, 8-hour slow-roasted red wine boneless short rib and sautéed sliced US beef. This could be a good ramen to start with, before you decide which beef is your favorite and order a bowl all with that beef.

The buffet came with a steamboat too, very worth it! You get a choice of 2 soup bases and a pretty wide range of ingredients. There's even a few choices of appetisers and desserts.

We went for the 1st Round (5.00pm - 6.30pm) which cost $27.80++ on Mon-Thur. On Fri-Sun, it is $30.80++.

I had my doubts before starting my meal here - really judgy of me by its restaurant outlooks and logo. However, they really impress me with the freshness of there sashimi (especially when buffet standards are really scary). Pictured here is surprisingly really part of buffet meal, if you are familiar with Ikoi Japanese Buffet - this is similar ala carte buffet style (which means that only things you ordered with be served to your table).

This fully air-conditioned mookata restaurant on the eighth floor of Orchard Central is perfect for your next get-together session with friends you haven't met in a while! Prices start from $18.80 for lunch and $28.80 for dinner with free flow of drinks. Choose one of four soup bases — bonito, chicken, tom yum or salted egg yolk (more of a dip than a soup base), before loading up your plate with king crabs, bamboo clams and slipper lobsters. The unagi, beef cubes and scallops are great for grilling and dipping into their housemade sauces like the lip-smackingly good green seafood sauce. If it's your first time handling slipper lobsters, get the friendly Talay Kata staff to guide you in cracking open the shell, so you don't waste time trying to cook the meat with the shell still on (...like we did). The stellar spread of meats and seafood is more than sufficient to feed everyone; but if not, there's always the DIY Som Tum and shaved ice dessert stations to turn to! Meat lovers, you might want to take note of this value-for-money deal. The next time you and your friends are planning to bulk up on meats, head to this all-you-can-eat concept at Park Hotel Alexandra (just next to IKEA). The Carvery's dinner buffet ($52 on weekdays, $62 on weekends) temptingly includes oysters and pork, but the affordable priced lunch buffet provides excellent value. At $38 (with a 10% discount for Citibank cardholders!), you get unlimited servings of premium roasts and cuts like House Aged Beef Ribs, Rotisserie Chicken and Lamb — all freshly sliced at the carving station. Start with a plate of healthy greens at the salad bar and then move on to the hot foods. Load up on carbs at their pasta and pizza counter. If not, end your meal on a (very) sweet note with their wide selection of desserts and go for the homely Apple Crumble if it's available — it's like a hug on a plate!

This recently opened restaurant on the third floor of JEM houses two concepts under the same roof — Japanese shabu (hotpot) or kintan (grilled meats). The concepts are kept separate, meaning your whole group must choose between having hotpot or grill, and each table must select the same buffet type. Make sure you come to a decision before stepping in. For both concepts, skip the Regular Buffet ($24.80 for Shaburi, $27.80 for Kintan) and go for the Special Shabu ($29.80) or the Kintan Buffet ($34.80) — the meats come from better quality cuts. Maximise the 90-minute feeding frenzy, for there are many stations to conquer. Dining at any of the two concepts gives you access to the cooked food, vegetables, drinks and soft serve stations. Make your own seaweed, curry or spicy fries with the powders provided, or stuff yourself silly with smooth chawanmushi, freshly fried chicken or lightly battered tempura. For your last fifteen minutes, head to the soft serve counter for milky vanilla soft serve, sprinkled with your favourite toppings.

Never knew of this famous #yakitori place till today and it just amazed me with its value-for-money set lunch! For $13.80, you get 5 of their signature yakitori (quails eggs, chicken & leek, bacon-wrapped asparagus, meatballs and minced meat wrapped in shiso leaf) with rice, grilled mushrooms (which were so juicy and delicious btw) and minced meat on rice which kinda reminded me of Taiwanese 卤肉饭. You even get a bowl of miso soup and an azuki red bean dessert on the side! Now if this is not the most affordable, filling and TASTY lunch, I don't know what is! #burpple #japanese #bento

I went there for their Afternoon Tea set though, and was wow-ed by the exquisite selection prepared for us. At $52++ per person, it's a tad on the high side, but the amount of thought put into the set was evident in the construction of each item.
