Quite enjoyable but got a tad jelak midway through. The rice cakes were really tasty though!

A hearty and comforting bowl, although we found the soup to be a tad under seasoned. Comes with kimchi, pork slices and tofu. Would be good to have on rainy days!

This rice bowl was pretty good! The pork belly was crispy and tender, while the scrambled eggs were soft and fluffy! The homemade Yuja (Yuzu) soy sauce added a sweet and savoury touch to the dish!

Was over at Sō’s nex outlet recently to try their latest festive seasonal dish - Flaming Lobster Poached Rice!

This was such an enjoyable dish! The flame-torched Boston lobster topped with mentaiko and cheese was succulent and had a nice firm texture! The seafood tonkotsu broth was both comforting and umami-laden, and the squid and scallop added some sweetness too, while the crunch came from the puffed rice. Also liked that the dish was served in stone-pot so it stayed warm throughout our meal!

There's only a limited number of Flaming Lobster Seafood Poached Rice Set ($24.90) sold daily, and is only available for dine-in at all their outlets till end of March 2023, while servings last!

I thought the Tortiglioni Spicy Pink Sauce ($8.50) was pretty good - the sauce was tasty, and I like the tinge of spice that came with it! As for the Tortiglioni Rustic Beef Oxtail Bolognese ($18.50), we felt that although the beef pieces were quite tender, the sauce was a tad watery for our liking. We also got the Cod Finger & Mozzarella Cheese Stick ($8.50) to share. Overall, a decent enough place to satisfy your pasta cravings with affordable pricing. They have other outlets at VivoCity and Jewel Changi Airport as well.

These were really good churros! They came hot, crispy and fluffy! Paired perfectly with the arequipe sauce too!

All I can say is I almost finished the whole plate of corn by myself. So addictive!

The prawns were fresh and well-grilled, and the sauce was rich and creamy as well - the taste reminded us of laksa for some reason!

The ribs were very tender, sweet and flavourful! The carrots had a nice char and crunch to them!

We felt the flavour was a little too piquant with the first few bites, but it got better progressively. More of an acquired taste.

This was from a couple of months ago but glad to have finally cleared Korio’s sandwiches off my makan list after KIV-ing it for so long!

Both sandwiches we got were good! The respective breads (one brioche, one sourdough) were grilled till super crisp; the Breakfast Sammy ($13) was savoury, creamy and really moreish, while the Caprese Grilled Cheese ($15) had a good balance of flavours - we liked how the caramelised onions and marinated tomatoes added a touch of sweetness to the rich, salty cheese!

Will certainly be back again to try their other sandwiches!

While we enjoyed the ingredients in this bowl, like the silky smooth Ipoh hor fun, topped with poached chicken, char siu, siu yoke, braised pig's ears and skin, and prawns, we felt the broth did not have that oomph we were looking for! We were told that their dry curry version is actually the more popular choice, so maybe we will go for that when we return.
