With all the talk about healthy eating and the movement that came along, stayed and wouldn't go away. The options these days are endless.

Ninja bowl plays to the tune but with a Miyazaki twist.

Everything in the bowl screams Japan and we Japan crazy Singaporeans, welcome it with hungry arms.
The Unagi soft and luscious contrasting with the crunchy veges. The egg coats everything in liquid gold tying all the flavors in its awesome gooey mess.

You can almost see the sun rising in the glorious bowl.
Monster would bring this home and show it a good time tonight.

If you don't want to top up, you can either pick Bulgogi Beef with Tofu or Chicken with Tofu in Thai Green Curry for proteins. I wanted fish so I opted for the Salmon Confit (+$3, medium rare/well done โ€“ go for medium rare for a pink, melt-in-the-mouth centre๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜). The fish was superbly cooked but I really wish the portion was sliiightly bigger โ€“ maybe even reduce the amount of brown rice in exchange for more meat.

For grains, red/brown/rice requires no supplement but quinoa is a $1 extra (or $2, if you want it dressed with cold-pressed virgin coconut oil).

For the final item, the meal felt more complete if I opted for one of the veggies than a drink. You can get a Tom Yum Minestrone, the minimally seasoned blanched broccoli florets or the cauliflower in light, slightly spicy green curry. The tofu in green curry, tzatziki salad, pico de gallo, ratatouille and patatas bravas are all $1 extra.

A MATCHA Avalanche.

Did a takeaway in the afternoon and reheated my croissant before eating it now. The pastry remained flaky and crispy. However the best was the thick matcha oozing out when I sliced the croissant into half. Gorgeous.

Since we only live once, then YOLO is the place to eat UP! Their Miso Glazed Salmon Steak comes with bok choy and quinoa, and is attractively priced at $15.90. The salmon was bigger than I had expected and encrusted in sesame seeds for extra crunch, and the quinoa was flavored (with soy sauce or something similar). Eating clean never tasted so good!

Finally checked this place that all my colleagues are talkin about. We had the salmon steak, coconut chicken on brown rice and the cauliflower fried rice (it s actually not rice but shredded cauliflower). Very tasty i must say... We loved the three dishes. Price wise, we paid between 9 to 15 dollars, very good value for money. Usually heathy food that is not salad is very expensive. will definitely be back!

This is edamame salad with grilled steak and a sous vide egg.

Who says that healthy can't be tasty? A slightly more affordable option than The Daily Cut, but I guess you pay more for better taste over the there. Nonetheless, this was not too shabby, and I'll be back again for that yummy chicken thigh ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ

I was in for a treat at this little eatery tucked at the side of Shaw Foundation Alumni House in NUS. Featured here is their Wagyu Don ($17.90) that has loads of succulent beef, sous vide egg & topped with juicy ikura & salted veg that complements every mouthful of rice. For it's price tag, it's definitely worth it.
Good thing if you're from NUS as you'd get a 10% off! Too bad I was a tad late & couldn't get my hands on the Chirashi Don ๐Ÿ˜ญ

Creamy, rich, and lightly smokey, the al dente noodles are lightly tossed in this decadent squid ink sauce; then topped within bonito flakes and thick slices of fragrant garlic. I've loved squid ink anything since first tasting it 8 years or so ago, but it's not easy to find a great squid ink dish. This however surpassed my expectations. It was clean-tasting, simple, yet bursting with flavours. I especially love the slight Asian take on this traditionally European dish.
