And though they were out of egg tarts when I visited at @honolulucafesg CentrePoint yesterday, everything else was executed to exaction.
Newly opened, only but a few days in operation and I can't help but notice countless vicious reviews online.
People, stop giving so much hate. Quit behaving like brats cause you had to wait fifteen minutes for the server to take your order. It's a HongKong Cafe, not your fancy restaurant. Them folks in HongKong queue for over an hour just to get a table. Then after, they'd get greasy menus thrown to them by grumpy servers, signature milk teas flung on the table so hard half of it would inevitably be sloshed onto the saucer; but it's a full house every single day of the week. Simply cause food is downright delicious. So if you can't wait, dine somewhere else. They won't cease operations just because they lost you as a customer. Give love, not hate. I'm sure your server would give you his best if you wore a smile instead of scowl. 🤓
I'm just grateful for authentic HongKong milk tea, instant noodles with extra chicken powder and that kickarse red chilli oil. Comfort food at its mostest!

After so long I finally got to try FEP famous "Salted Egg Pork Rib". The gravy for the pork rib is a little too creamery and is lacking of salted egg taste. For the pork rib wise, it's a little too soft and not crispy at all.
It would be great if the pork rib is fried till crispy and the gravy has more salted egg taste in it but not too much if not it will be super geelat after eating. #mondayblues #dinnertime #saltedegg #sgfood #burpple

Quite a hearty meal of creamy grains cooked to perfection, succulent prawns with flavourful garlicky curry spice.

The start for me however was the spicy and crisp eggplant special. Saw a few groups of friends @erikaliana @veldenneo and a HSBC colleague. What a small world.

At only $8.50 this set is super value!! I mean you can't really go wrong with this, but portion is generous 😁😁

Cheap and good lunch! The mee tai mak was piping hot, flavorful and not too oily. At $5 it's really a generous portion. Only drawback is location a little out of the way.

My first time trying dry and herbal BKT and I think I like this better than the peppery version! The dry version has generous portions of ribs that are cut shorter and much easier to eat, and a dark sauce gravy that goes amazingly with the white rice. Herbal soup also tastes very soothing and I loved the enoki mushrooms.

Craving for some Whoaffles ($12.50 for double scoop with sauce) in this warm warm weather. I used to think their ice cream was subpar but it has improved by leaps and bounds. Now in a creamier texture and heavier density, I felt it is finally worthy enough to be sitting atop their crispy thin, Belgium waffle-like Whoaffles. Personally, I'd recommend the Pandan flavour. Hatter Street is located at Hougang Street 21. Nearest train station being Kovan MRT.

Happy Tue peeps, may peace be with you throughout the day. 😊

Pick and choose your choice of CHUNKS of sashimi using the DIY option! The small bowl ($8.90) has a choice of 2 toppings, medium ($15.80) 4 choices and large ($16.80), 5 choices.

CRAZILY AFFORDABLE AND FILLING. They even have the salad option too!

Need this sinfully Kinder Bueno Banana milkshake (SGD 12.90) badly to perk me up for the day.
