($9 for hungry | $14 for starving)
Hawaiian Original Tuna bowl (bottom) & Kimchi Salmon bowl (top).
Their bowls are all pre-designed unlike other poke shops where I get to customise. Overall, enjoyed the original one a lot better as it’s sweet and salty which compliments the fish really well. Kimchi was a tad bit too sour for the fish. A pretty decent serving for this humble poke stall that fits only around 6-10 ppl & it’s price.
I stay in the far west so travelling to old airport road is not a chore as long as my favourite lormee & roast paradise are there.
It’s super rare to find fatty charsiew in Singapore when most of them are very lean and hard. This charsiew &siobak thoughhhhh, they literally melt in your mouth. I never understood they way food bloggers describe their meat as “melt in your mouth” until I tried roast paradise.
This kind of noodles (that look plain and not much colour) is more common in Malaysia I would say. Do not judge the taste by its colour 😤. Haiya, you have to try it yourself to understand what I mean. But this is really a must try (even worth travelling 1.5hrs for it)
PARDON FOR THE PHOTO but this is a very comforting bowl of la mian. Hearing “Ramen” made me expect the rich and heavy Japanese ramen broth. Hearing “shrimp” made me expect prawn noodles. This bowl of noodles however, is the complete opposite. The broth is so light with a hint of the freshness from the prawns. The broth is z’enged by the fried cabbage that added another dimension of wokhey in the soup, I KNOW RIGHT?? Wokhey in the soup.
The trio includes prawns, dumplings & the famous ebiko prawn paste from beauty in the pot.
Their dumplings are so good that we decided to order another bowl of dumpling soup. It’s bouncy and springy, very perfect with their chilli (which I added vinegar to it!!)
Its topped with caramelised mushroom, poached kampung egg yolk, some arugula and z’enged with a drizzle of truffle oil. I thought the dish was a very decent one but once again, still a very aesthetically pleasing dish.
Bacon is not included but could be topped up!
Overall: this cafe is a MUST visit for the vibes and friendliness of the staff if you’re arnd the area! quesadilla brekkie > wild mushroom risotto > pan fried salmon with kimchi cauliflower rice
One of their most popular dishes here! It’s once again, a very aesthetic pleasing dish of tortilla stuff with Super (I kid u not like SUPER) creamy tomyum scrambled eggs, ham, tomatoes, sriracha aioli, coriander & cheddar cheese. You’ll be like huh??? But trust me, it was rlly good. Add toppings like smoked salmon/ Mexican baked beans to give your dish more dimension & make it more refreshing.
Overall: Quesadilla brekkie > mushroom risotto > pan fried salmon w kimchi cauliflower rice
👍🏻 the dish was just aesthetic perfection. Salmon was soft and tender with the crisp on the skin. Overall a very well balanced meal. Cauliflower tasted like rice (personally not a fan of cauliflower but this turned out well). Staff were SUPER FRIENDLY!!! would totally recommend just for the vibes.
👎🏻 2-3 of my friends finished their food while this hasn’t even arrived. A stronger/sour/pungent taste of the kimchi would be better, it tasted more like fried cabbage.

Went there once for their mentaiko bowl (just a slab of mentaiko & some seaweed :-( ), it was so bad & I was so so so disappointed.
Glad they revamped their menu & I would say I would come back to try more stuff!! Mentaiko chirashi bowl has that nice charred taste & added another dimension to the typical chirashi don. It’s a pretty basic but good bowl, pretty value for money too considering it was lunch time & beyond could be used!!
I am alwaysssss back for their strawberry tofu cheesecake & lychee rose cake (so nth new cus it’s that good). Ordered rose latte this time, what a pretty drink. Tasted rlly nice, milky & has that bandung ish taste too which I quite like. Matcha honey yuzu sounded so weird to me. Am personally not a matcha fan but this combination won my heart, the addition of yuzu made it refreshing unlike other match drink out there!!

Comes with a choice of noodles (got the Sichuan noodles) & dumplings (managed to try the fried pierogi & spicy sichuan dumplings) & a drink (longan osmanthus pu erh & grapefruit thyme strawberry thyme)
Overall I think it’s quite pricey considering the noodles felt a lot like youmian. Seasoning for the noodles were nice but also tasted like spicy dry youmian. Maybe try their unique noodles/dumplings rather than the “红油抄手” u can find almost anywhere. Eg the fried pierogi has truffled potatoes n bacon I think, topped with Sriracha mayo, pretty unique
Drinks r unique!! Am really a HUGE osmanthus fan they had this osmanthus jelly in the drink, loved it.

Added guacamole for $2.40!! Had a mini mental breakdown after the first bite, it was so FULL of flavours after my first bite that I needed a moment for myself HAHA. Fish was fried so it has that 炸鱼片 taste u find in fish soup, nicely marinated batter. The herb (especially cilantro) & spices were so well balanced. Added guac & which added the smoothness/richness to the quesadilla. My friend ordered a chicken burrito & he said the fish quesadilla is wayyyyyyyy btr, probably cus the beans & rice were heavy on the carbs & he got sick of it after awhile (but very worth if you were looking for a VERY filling option)

Every bowl comes with lettuce, 2 rice balls (u can opt for mixed grains or white rice) & pineapples. Top up an additional scoop of fish for $4.50 I think. Rlly VERY filling with all the add-ons I recommend 1 scoop + a topping for light eaters. I thought the mentaiko was very subtle but at least its light on the palette.

Gave up queuing for Nakhon but rlly wanted some Thai food so we headed there!! The upsized portion was almost just nice for a light eater like me. Noodles were springy like kolo mee. Seasoning & their lap cheong(?) were toooo sweet for my liking but they are generous with their pork lard OOOoOof, some good stuff.
