Arteastiq is one of my favorite go-to spots, ever since Eatigo days. They make one mean crabcake breakfast! I visited the Jewel branch this time round and their quality was still tip-top. It was an enjoyable meal all around, and their lychee tea is always amazing :-)

💸: $18

💬: Squid ink has a very seafood-y taste, - might be too overwhelming for some - which masked up the salted egg component of the fish
Noodles were al dente, but portion was way too small 🥵🥵
Scallops were seared perfectly, still retaining its juiciness

True to it’s name, arteastiq serves up beautifully plated dishes that are a feast for the eyes. I really liked how the duck confit came with a side of brown rice, perfect for a 饭桶like me. The duck was also fall of the bone tender and the meat melted as soon as it entered my mouth. The vibes on the last floor of jewel, where the cafe is situated, is also really nice but can get hot if it’s sunny during lunchtime.

This version of Mac and cheese includes braised minced beef with garlic, onions, basil, and tomato sauce. This was very flavourful and I liked the melted cheese on top but would like this if there was more.

The lychee tea was fragrant and had a strong lychee flavour. They were served with durian cookies which were quite artificial in flavour but the tea was good!

Save for the bespoke tea selection here that comes nicely arranged; my high tea set was desperately poor. The first alarm was an unkempt area of the place (think mops and pails) outrightly visible as we were seated. Then the paltry looking tea set that came in a nice display I must at least attempt to credit. The last straw was really sending 2 items (truffle macaroni, some supposed Mochi) back to the display with zero draw to continue after a taste.
I am not pleased to be mean but really also “what is a high tea without scones first and foremost” *in a haughty English tone 🙊*
