My first visit to Steak & Salad few years ago, introduced by colleagues, was unforgettable. At this concept, you get unlimited Astons sides. Fyi the general prices are jacked up, but I think still acceptable. Here are sausage salad, papaya salad, coleslaw, sauteed mushrooms, onion rings, garlic bread and butter rice. They're basic, I won't deny that.
Astons good for steak? Pui. This may not be the highest-end cut, but ribeye is neither the lowest. It had zero flavour. We might've ordered medium, but the beef used meant that's meaningless. I actually felt weary eating this.

Baked potato was nice, main course comes with free flow salad bar, desert and drinks.
Steak was cooked to medium rare as ordered but the meat has a lot of sinews which makes for a good jaw exercise.
Will not order this again.
Although supposedly the main, chargrilled chicken was sadly outshadowed by the AMAZING SALAD BAR!! 🥗🥦🍅🥑🌽🥙🥩🥖 Don’t be intimidated by the term salad, there’s a wide variety of usual healthy vegetables, beans (in every single colour - you name it, they probably have it), seasoned salads (sautéed mushrooms, Thai papaya salad, coleslaw, apple salad, pasta salad, watermelon salad), fried food (onion rings, potato wedges, potato croquette, garlic bread), guacamole dip with nachos, soups (not that great tho) and fruits. Add all these together with the main, plus vanilla soft serve topped with chopped peanuts, chocolate/colorful palates, or even affogato (since they have a coffee machine with cappuccino, latte, hot milk etc), and at such an affordable price, leaves us all belly belly happy 🤤🤤 PS. Even though it’s supposedly 60 min, if they aren’t crowded they probably won’t chase you out!
What an unexpected find ... ...
Think a garlicky black peppery tomato-ey sauce , well pan fried salmon slices and al dente Pasta.
This pasta was really really really well done . It had a bit of a fusion note within with the use of a slightly sweet black peppery undertone but not overwhelming.
The home made sauce was so addictive I could stop eating my pasta even after 2 rounds at the salad bar .
The pasta was so good - i left the restaurant thinking about it - and just had to walk back to convey my thoughts about it to the service staff .
Very very impressed. So much better than what I have eaten at some other Italian restaurants/ cafes .
What’s more - this meal was only 13.90 nett with the full salad bar , soups, cooked food bar , soft serve ice cream and free flow coffee and tea .
Don’t miss out on the freshly baked mini muffins because they are so soft and tender - you can’t stop at one .

And hello 👋 astons 🤗! The salad offerings here are so fresh and well varied and the greens are crisp and service / refills are so prompt. You can make your own salad any way you want and that is so liberalising :)
These are the jewels 💎 to look out for while enjoying your lunch buffet :
1) guacomole and tortilla chips ( very pure guacomole - not laden with hidden mayo)
2) Super soft and cute mini muffins ( the corn muffins are my favourite )
3) very good and smooth black coffee ( that goes excellently with my favourite mini muffins )
4) aglio olio ( one of my personal favourites ) - this is part of the selection for the main course
5) sautéed field mushrooms with onions
6) green papaya salad
7) vanilla soft serve with lots and lots of crushed peanuts and maybe you can make your own affagato since the coffee machine is at your disposal.
Ok - now I have let you in on one of my most secret hideouts 😳
Order the main and I enjoyed the free flow side dishes, salad bar, soup and drinks as well and the soft serve. Best would be the button mushrooms with mushroom sauce and sweet corn which I drenched with cheese sauce. Onion rings were also yummy! As for the main, I had the chop which was quite spicy.
