The dough was really so thick and not much egg inside the prata. :"l

The dough was really so thick and not that warm or crispy :"(

I didn't know that they already packed briyani into the box and left it on the cashier counter. I went to ask them where it is for chicken bryiani but they seemed not happy when I ask them lol. The rice and chicken was not that dry but the hard boiled egg is not nice tbh.

Came here on a late night to fill our growling bellies. Although not as crispy as expected, the prata were nicely flipped with soft and fluffy inside parts. They also serve pretty gao (thick) milo over here.

Plain Prata 》$1.20
Egg Onion Prata 》$2.50
Garlic Prata 》$2.50
Milo 》$1.70

Again there's a good crisp. The dips were all decent, but the tomato chutney was incredibly addictive with it's soft texture and tangy sweet flavours.

Small naan but very good. It has a very strong crisp and is sufficiently dehydrated partly for the crisp to last. Served with dhal which was decent. Goes so much better w a strong curry like the one served alongside mutton briyani

The curry wasn't as umami as the mutton curry but it's still thick and even better spiced. The cheese prata was crispy but loses its crisp quickly due to the mozz stuffing inside. Get it to share, u don't want to finish the whole thing it gets boring to eat

Alas, not everything here is stellar. This wasn't bad at all but for the price(same as mutton biryani) the portion is abit lacking. The sauce is leans heavily towards sweetness but it doesn't feel awkward. Ckn was a tad dry, overall it's decent but they got much better offerings.

AN ABSOLUTE HIDDEN GEM

top 3 biryani I've had. Every component was on point, from the spiced biryani rice which was fluffier but had a slight bite, to the fork tender mutton and the nicely grainy intense curry. Not to mention the generous portion of mutton. Absolutely delicious and a must try, despite the location!

Order the mee goreng thai if normal mee goreng is not spicy enough. Instead of the red sauce, mee goreng Thai is cooked in a dark sauce which has an added kick due to the fresh cut chillis. It also has chicken chunks in it for your protein fix.

This was so so.

Looks so so

Taste so so.

5.5/10 for food.

Now this Biryani is on a whole new level. The mutton-on-a-bone is really tender and has little to no gaminess. The curry goes perfectly with the nicely seasoned and spiced basmati rice. The portion is huge as well. Get a non-sweet teh limau($2.50) to counter the heaviness of the biryani itself!

The chicken murtarbak(~$8) is really good as well, as they managed to make the prata dough slightly crispy, which adds another dimension to the murtarbak itself. This is way better than most murtarbaks I've tried in other places. I didn't even need curry go with it!

Expected more from this prata that came highly recommended!!! Enaq at Jurong East is much better. But overall the local ambience makes for a nice cosy supper place. :-)

My friend said the prata is usually flakier so we were quite disappointed that today's was quite cold and limp. It may have been because we were sitting under the aircon but oh well, I choose to believe that the steady stream of customers is proof of its popularity and that this may just have been a one-off incident. The good thing is, while it arrived glistening with oil, it didn't feel greasy at all.

Soup was cooked to perfection, generous serving of seafood albeit expensive for the smallest serving.

Late night supper with the sec school clique NS boys. Runny egg yolks makes me happy :)

Scarily red fried kuey teow. NOT suitable for most people. Lol!

Not forgetting the Roti Planta that made our trip to Jalan Kayu worthwhile! 😋
