Based on a peek at their various set menus, their four-pax course meals are (surprisingly) wonderfully value-for-money especially given the quality involved, and I am already plotting a return with friends.
Great ambiance with great service attentive staff. Love the oriental decor of the place.
Left (top to bottom)
1. Steamed Charcoal Barbecued Kagoshima Pork Bun with Black Truffle [$7/2 pieces] - love how lean the meat is and the truffle really enhanced the traditionally simple char siew.
2. Poached Seafood Wanton with Water Chestnut served in Spicy Sauce [$6/2 pieces] - One of my must order dim sum, I’m so relieved that the skin is so thin and soft, served with a very appetizing sourish spicy sauce. Very satisfying!
3. Steamed Beancurd Roll with Chicken and Prawn in Oyster Sauce topped with Fried Golden Mushroom [$6/2 pieces] - Another must order dish for me! The fried golden mushroom gave the beancurd roll a nice crunch.
4. Braised Sea Cucumber with Flower Mushroom and Shrimp Roe [$18/pax] - Well braised, soft sea cucumber. Don’t have much comments cause it tasted exactly like how I imagined it to be.
5. Teochew-Style Wok-Fried Seafood Hor Fun with Homemade Squid Ink Sauce [$18/pax] - Quite disappointed that the squid ink taste was rather mild. Had really high hopes for this but found it to be quite ordinary.
6. Signature Wok-Fried Carrot Cake with Chinese Sausage, Prawn and Scallop in XO Chilli Sauce [$12 for 2 persons] - Quite impressed to see scallop and prawns in this dish! Carrot cubes had a nice sear and boy, they are indeed flavorful! My fav version of this is still from Forbidden duck!
Fresh tasty lobster with ee fu noodles. The noodles are not overly salty and complemented the lobster well. Lobster was cooked perfectly. Overall super yummy.
Could not stop drinking this Double-boiled thick chicken broth from Cassia @capellasin . The rich broth is full of succulent seafood and I feel thoroughly nourished after. Going to bed super happy tonight. More on stories. Be sure to check out their CNY menu this festive season!
Decided on a impromptu lunch at Cassia as we were staying over at Capella. Must say the quality of the food is excellent. Will find a chance to come again!
We ordered:
- Abalone Siew Mai
- Double boiled birds nest with dumpling and bamboo supreme broth (this was excellent!)
- XO carrot cake (generous XO sauce, fresh scallops and prawns and loads of dried scallops!)
- Crystal dumpling that was oozing with a rich earthy truffle taste
- Truffle Kurobuta Char Siew Bao (didn't manage to snap this as husband dived into it before I could whip up my phone!)

It's one Char Siu Bao that will make you miss it after you leave the place! Yeah, real black truffle in it. (If you want to know, it's $4.80 for 2 pieces. Ok right?)
What's featured here is the Black Pepper Wagyu Beef which is so yummy. Www.ms-Skinnyfat.com Active link in bio. I shall get ready for champagne brunch! Catch you on 👻
Lobster Claw Soup with Bird’s Nest Wonton had lots of oomph. The stock is tasty with fat and juicy bird’s nest wanton and a huge lobster claw.

Absolutely delish & fragrant fried rice. Scallops were good too and went surprisingly well with the sauce that tasted suspiciously like ketchup. We suspect Kev got it specially arrange cos he likes ketchup with pretty much everything.
Easily one of the best out of the awesome dishes that night. Great combination of ingredients and for the fish to be just perfectly cooked when doing a dinner service of this size, major props to the chefs.
Located at the luxurious Capella Singapore in Sentosa, Cassia is a high-end fine dining Chinese restaurant.
