Fusion Chinese Indian Food from @copperchimneysg !

Established in 2012, Copper Chimney has its flagship shop at 100 Syed Alwi Road, at Little India Area. Besides the Little India restaurant, they also have an express outlet Asia Square.

They have a wide range of menu choices! So many items till it took us a long while before we narrowed down on what to order.

Butter chicken is my must order food whenever at Indian Food Places! This butter chicken ($18++) had enough portions for 2 pax! There were huge chunks of chicken meat. The butter chicken sauce was rich, creamy and with a slight smokey taste. Do get the garlic naan ($5++) or butter naan ($4.50++) to mop up all the sauces! Each portion of naan comes with 2 pieces.

Also tried something new and got the Steamed Chicken Momo (5 pcs for $15.90++). Steamed momos are meat filled dumplings! Each momo has a generous portion of minced meat!! A side chilli sauce dip is also given for the momos!

The ambience of this place was good, very modern and inviting. Food tasted great too! Do check this place out if you will like to eat some North Indian and Indian Chinese fusion food! The place is halal certified too!

Look at what I had at @copperchimneysg today!

We started with Masala Roomli (S$9++) which looked like a huge pizza topped with chopped tomatoes. Love it’s thin crispy crust. It’s so unique.

Next we had Chicken Biryani (S$16.50++) served in a copper pot accompanied with yogurt. Although the pot looked small, the 2 of us couldn’t finished the yummy rice topped with 2 tender pieces of chicken.

We also had Malai Chicken Tikka (S$17.90++) which was recommended by the staff. It was tender and non-spicy.

Washed the meal with Mint Calamansi (S$6++) and Mango Lassi (S$8++).

This was not bad. Served with mint ice cream?, the cake- like brownie and bubbling chocolate syrup worked well tgt. A sinful treat

I used 50$ chope timed voucher 45% off

Theirs is more cake like rlly, it's a sponge that soaks up the syrup. It's sweet enough on its own, do without the syrup probably. Very pricey for 3 balls

The naans were not bad. Just a tad dry on their own, and sufficiently crispy(but could have been more).

Chili cheese was interesting, thin layer of cheese inside with cut green chilis on top. It's rather hot as expected

A very rounded tikka masala, with huge steaks of salmon which were cooked well. It's impressive they didn't get it too dry with this size. A very restaurant style safe dish

First time im having it, it's like butter ckn with more pronounced yoghurt sourness. Rather pleasant

.
Chicken Lababdar (S$15) - The chicken blends the perfect balance of savouriness with just the right amount of spice to give that yummy taste! 😋
.
Chili Cheese Naan ($6.50) - The full-flavoured dairy is topped with spice that tingles the taste buds, so delicious! 😍
.
Lamb Shoulder - Unctuous meat that takes on the fragrant spices with melt-in-the-mouth textures and deep flavours the pay-offs. 🤤
.
Masala Roomali (S$8) - A thin bread filled with onions and tomato, baked till crispy over an inverted oven and topped with a Masala seasoning, providing an adequate level of taste and spiciness. This is my favourite, loving the crispyness and unique taste! 👍🏻
.
Salmon Fish Masala (S$18) - It is cooked to perfection in Copper Chimney’s custom made tandoor, the tasty morsels of salmon just melt in your mouth with every bite, you will love it! 😋
.
Madras Prawn Curry (S$17) - A well-balanced dish with a plethora of flavours that will delight any curry lover, it is accompanied by a slight hint of sweetness from the prawns and is best eaten with fragrant basmati rice. 😋
.
Jalebi with Rabdi (S$8) - A freshly made deep-fried crunchy snack filled with a rich syrup that oozes out with every bite!

Thanks to @copperchimneysg for having us! 🙏🏻

Had mutton roganjosh ($12), butter chicken($11.50), garlic & butter naan($7). So good, so amazing. But, i rather get the butter chicken instead of mutton roganjosh! Its so creamy and the naan is really fragrant. Its just opposite Mustafa, and its air conditioned and do note theres GST & Service charge too. This meal cost around $35. Would come back for my naan and butter chicken cravings!!

5/5

Not a single dish disappointed and I'll definitely come back here if I'm around the area again.
So the next time swee choon has crazy long queues why not just walk a little and check out this restaurant.

Ordered their butter chicken and garlic naan, yum! Garlic naan was fragrant and tore apart oh so satisfyingly, crisp at the sides and soft in the centre. $3.50 for two slices should be more than enough! Butter chicken was full of flavour, very strong hint of tomato and sweetness. It's up to personal preference, bf preferred his mutton roganjosh which was tender and aromatic. Would definitely come back here again.

Went to this Northern Indian restaurant for dinner for an interesting change. Ordered the Fish Tikka Masala, Mutton Vindaloo, Butter Chicken and a mixed vegetable dish. Great that all the dishes weren't very big so we could order a variety! All the sauces were soooo flavourful and well-spiced, I can be contented just eating plain naan dipped in sauce 😌 My favourite has to be the fish one 😍 Really nicely flavoured with a blend of ginger and other vegetables. Highly recommend! 👍🏻

Tonight with Copper Chimney was such a delight. Every dish served was outstanding - the layers of spices, smokiness of the meats and the thick consistency of the gravy. Even the naans were the BEST I've had. It was baked till almost crispy, you can literally hear the bread break as you tear it apart. Highly recommend for you to order a portion for yourself because, trust me, you wouldn't want to share the naan with anyone else.

This fish certainly didn't die in vain. The fish tikka here was the milder of dishes we had, with just the right amount of spices to have us going back for more spoonfuls. The fish chunk were huge (see picture for proof) and that gave the meat enough bite for a satisfying eat. This is best paired with naan. And my preferred choice of naan is the garlic one!

Mutton roganjosh, a staple of Kashmiri cuisine, made with braised lamb chunks cooked in a gravy with garlic, onions and a handful of aromatic spices. Loved the flavour burst with every mouthful, the tender mutton with no smell (yay!) and the plentiful sauce to dip my naan in. One thing though, it was a little on the salty side, so word of advice, go easy on the yummy sauce.

Time to feast on and recharge for the upcoming week!
Their revamped menu serves up a good mix of North Indian and Chinese Indian food. Butter Chicken has been always my favourite and their light yet flavourful version is truly one of the better ones I've tried.
Top right corner was the Veg Jaipuri that I got addicted to. Never thought that a creamy dish of spring vegetables would taste this good but I was truly impressed.

This is probably the best brownie I've tasted. Not that the ice cream or brownie individually were mindblowing, but the combination was stunning. It's not novel but it is absolutely delicious. Freezing cold ice cream, moist and chocolatey brownie, topped with a luscious fudge that sizzles and spits on a hot plate. Super sinful but decadent yums.
