This bowl is $8. Itโ€™s was alright. Brothโ€™s good. Quite milky.

Even if deathly allergic to seafood, this is one prawn mee that you have to try before you die (or die trying). Even @decipherkieffer, not a huge prawn mee fan, remarked that it's one of the best he's had.
The highlight of this ๐—ฝ๐—ฟ๐—ฎ๐˜„๐—ป ๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ฑ ๐—ฝ๐—ผ๐—ฟ๐—ธ ๐—ฟ๐—ถ๐—ฝ ๐˜€๐—ผ๐˜‚๐—ฝ ๐—ป๐—ผ๐—ผ๐—ฑ๐—น๐—ฒ๐˜€ ($8 for regular in photo, and $10/15) was the almost tonkotsu-ramen-like broth โ€” gloriously viscuous while bursting with umami, and also beautifully tinged with a delectable custacean sweetness with herbal notes sneaking into the finish.
The accompanying ingredients were also delightful โ€” the prawns were fresh and crunchy, whilst the pork ribs were tender and flavourful. The price tag might be steep, but the luxurious broth is doubtlessly worthy of that valuation.

Woke up with an insatiable need for my favourite prawn noodles. So off I went to Da Dong and chose the dry version with prawns and liver ($8) and because of my foodie friend Caeciliaโ€™s recommendation, I indulged to the max with an additional order of their big prawn soup ($15) too. The prawns were extremely fresh, meaty and sweet, and the broth was opaque with an almost creamy umami-ness.
My cholesterol level may have gone through the roof but my face beamed with joy.

Detractors complain about the cost, queue and quantity of food given, and why bother with this when there's the far more popular and slightly cheaper Beach Road Prawn Noodles nearby. I argue that this is a far superior product, worth waiting and paying for. Curiously, I don't see anyone griping about $12 prawn aglio olio from Pastamania.

Taste: 4/5

Da Dong Prawn Noodles.
I customised my bowl with big prawn and intestines.
The highlight from the prawn noodle is the broth.
Itโ€™s light, tasty and more sweet (coz they are also using pork beside prawn ) compare to ordinary prawn noodle.
