Ondeh Ondeh Cake

$38.00 ยท 10 Reviews

A tad sweeter than the rest I have ordered, the Ondeh Ondeh Sliced Cake ($7.50) was also spot-on in terms of texture and flavour - simply a moist pandan chiffon with creamy gula melaka buttercream, embellished with shredded coconut.

Really soft and fluffy but itโ€™s really sweet! Other than that, itโ€™s great ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป

Keep this in mind for local flavoured whole cakes perfect for birthdays. A must-try is their fragrant Ondeh Ondeh Cake ($5.50/slice; $45, whole) which sees moist pandan sponge cake with gula melaka and coconut shreds. Try the unique Pulut Hitam( $42.00) for black glutinous rice between layers of pandan cake and coated in coconut buttercream. New but also fabulous is the Teochew classic Orh Nee You (from $45.00) which transforms a typical wedding dessert into a smooth yam-based cake.

Almost kicked myself when I found out the branch at Jurong relocated. Have been dying to try this and wasn't disappointed at all. It's really all you want in a ondeh ondeh cake, simple but powerful. Too many places have gula melaka cream which isn't really shiok enough. Worthy of being their signature cake

Many thanks to cake club for hosting and burpple for the invite!

A good party always ends with a good cake indeed! This fluffy ondeh ondeh cake would be a great choice for both the old & young to enjoy. It's not too sweet, not too creamy & smells ohhh so guud. The strong flavours of pandan & coconut really comes through with every bite. There's also gula melaka within the layer of each sponge! Overall, a really light & fragrant cake. Definitely recommending this for those who are looking for some sweet dessert right after a heavy meal! ๐ŸŒพ๐ŸŒพ

As well as doling out popular weekday lunch sets and brewing coffee from Drury Lane to the hungry lunchtime crowds in Jurong, this spacious cafeteria has an unassuming array of cakes from In the Brickyard that you shouldn't miss out on. A sure winner here is the Ondeh Ondeh ($38 for whole cake, $5.50 a slice) โ€” pandan infused sponge cake with a smooth, creamy gula Melaka frosting. They're not kidding when they say it is the "softest pillowy sponge" โ€” it's so dangerously addictive that you are likely to be gobbling up forkfuls until it's all gone. They also offer some pretty tasty sliced cakes like the crowd pleasing Thai Milk Tea Cake ($5.50 a slice).

I first tried inthebrickyard's Ondeh Ondeh Cupcake back when they were still an online shop and I loved the intensity of the natural flavours. Glad I finally had the chance to visit their new space and savour their signature again, this time in the form of cake.

The airy cake base is as fragrant as ever, thanks to the naturally perfumed coconut milk (with pandan leaves) incorporated in the batter. The coconut milk-kissed frosting and the splash of gula Melaka in between the layers add extra savoury punches to counter the overall sweetness too. A very unique cake and definitely one of my favourites here. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ

Soft sponge with light cream & mangoes in between. The sponge was super light n fluffy. Crowned with cream & drizzled with caramel sauce. If u are a big fan of light spongy caramelly goodness, this is a must try. Thank you Kai Yuen @inthebrickyard for the cakes. #cakes #cakelovers #sgfoodie #foodporn #burpple #openricesg
