Even with an extensive menu, I will still order the same few dishes but recently we have been more adventurous to try out new dishes with friends and for this trip, it was my first time trying out the 回锅肉, 蒜泥白肉, 油麦菜 and 夫妻肺片 from the restaurant. Needless to say, each of this dish delivers in terms of flavour and affordability with my favourite being the pork belly topped with chopped garlic on a pool of soy sauce mixture. The most interesting dish was the 夫妻肺片 as it’s a cold dish of sliced beef and organs such as tongue, lung and tripe.

Wouldn’t recommend this as it was unfortunately bland - though I guess it works if you just need something to go with the other heavier tasting dishes. Will try the noodles instead next time!

The chewy mung bean noodle is one of my favourites, so this is another dish I usually get here. They do a hot version with pork strips, while this one is more of a chilled salad kind of starter. It’s a tad bit more on the saltier end but very appetising, with a good crunch from the mix of cucumber, carrots.

The one dish you must get here is this 番茄炒蛋! A very simple looking dish but not everyone does it this well - super creamy egg with sweet tomatoes that are seasoned nicely. Brought different groups of friends here and this is always very well-liked!

Sautéed tomato with egg. Creamy eggy goodness with an appetizing tang, so simple but so fulfilling. What you’ll call comfort food. Could really have this everyday 😋

Enoki mushroom with cucumber salad. Very refreshing and light dish, good to have to take a break from the mala and the grease. Love the crunch from the shredded cucumber and carrots and the delicate earthy flavors from the enokis, all well tossed in a light and tasty sesame scented dressing. Very well thought of combination that constantly caresses the taste bud. Just can’t get enough of this
