Refreshing end to the meal, with a beautiful yuzu peppercorn consommé that was the only alcohol we had that night. Loved the attention they put in to every fish. Probably a contender for one of the best meals this year amidst the madness of all our CB/HA/phase1-1000.
The dining buddy commented "Never have i seen a date so plump" to which I responded "I know you only go on dates with skinny ones". Jokes aside, that was indeed one plump date, which apparently cost $2 each according to the waiter. I don't know about you but I've never seen such an interesting random pairing of desserts that were just slapped together but somehow found beauty in their chaos.
Nice but otherwise simple mullet fish with what I believe was fish scales scorched in super hot oil.. that strangely resemble the texture of fingernails. The provencal bisque absolutely blew me away with the intensity of flavours.
Moroccan slow cooked lamb shoulder threw a curveball at this juncture. Such interesting flavours that lent a surprise to the otherwise rather Italian-centric meal. That lamb consommé was completely clear as you can (or cant) see but surprisingly flavourful.
Sicilian red prawns with ricotta di percora blanc-manger, amalfi lemon and sicilian pistachio. Wonderful start although I could really only taste some amazing briney prawns and a smooth mash like concoction.
The best thing about this place is the location and the view. Maybe it’s not fair to judge a restaurant just by referring to the Valentine’s Day set menu ($178++ for non-front row tables) and dining experience, but based on that, it doesn’t rank among the top 15 Italians in Singapore. Portions are Lilliputian, none of the dishes is a wow, and the dessert is too dry. The menu said “lobster risotto”, but it’s really crayfish!!?! I remained hungry and was tempted by the idea of buying French fries at OverEasy downstairs. Service is not terribly proactive - one must ask for water refills several times during the meal. After opening the wine, the waiter asked “would you like to test, or should I just pour?” In a restaurant of this calibre, you don’t ask this kind of question - more training is called for! Cheaper restaurants would present a flower to lady guests, but not here! Forlino is a case of marble pricing but linoleum food and service. Chef Osvaldo Forlino’s No Menu restaurant is not great, but better than Forlino! Shame!

📜Mascarpone Cremeux | Novara Cookies | Coffee Gelato Orelys Valrhona Sauce | Marsala Gel
Not included in Burpple deal
I love love this dessert!! Could have swallowed in all of it.
The mascarpone creameux thing is like.. mind blowing? The texture is fluffy and nice! Almost like a softer version of a soufflé pancake! I could eat it in big gulps if there was more.
The Marsala gel had a sour taste to it which was a lil overpowering if you had more of it.. but overall a very nice dessert to end off the dinner!
The gelato melts a little fast too so pls eat it quickly!
Pls order this!
Burpple 1 for 1
📜 Peppermint Tea-Brined Lamb Loin | Taggiasche Olives | Artichoke Cream
Baby Ratte Potatoes | Green Beans
Lamb was tender and no gamey taste at all! texture was almost like beef! The artichoke cream went well and didn’t overpower the lamb taste. Love the potatoes!
Hubs really liked this dish.
Burpple 1 for 1
📜Black Garlic Tagliatelle | Parma Ham Essence | Pan Seared Abalone Wild Fennel Pollen
This was good! Pasta was al dente and the abalone was of a nice portion. Though I think I’d recommend the risotto more!
Serving was a lil small but I guess at places like this people will order appetisers.
Burpple 1 for 1 deal!
📜Acquerello Rice | Sardinian Saffron | Amalfi Lemon | Blue Fin Tuna| Cured Egg Yolk
Super fragrant and savoury and wow this kinda blew my mind away! Haven’t had such nice risotto in ages!
The lemon taste might be a little overwhelming to some but it was a refreshing taste that kinda “opened our stomachs” to the other dish haha.
The tuna didn’t shout out to me unfortunately but it provided a good bite to the rice.
Recommended too!!
Burpple 1 for 1 deal!
📜Bangalow Sweet Pork Tenderloin | Apricot and Celeriac Purée | IGP Tropea Spring Onion | Porchetta Dust | Fig Chutney
The pork was really tender and sweet on its own! I really like that you didn’t need much seasoning to increase its tastiness! The porchetta dust is weird on its own but went well with the meat.
Recommended dish!
Beautiful night view of the marina bay skyline as a backdrop at this restaurant!
Foc focaccia bread that came with 3 butters (olive, herb and tomato). Olive was the nicest. Although the butters weren’t very memorable. Bread was soft and warm and a nice enough appetiser!
money saving tip: they will ask you if you want sparkling or still water, just say Tap!
Staff service was prompt and didn’t have to wait very long for the food. We ate quickly too and were out in an hour haha.
Post-card worthy views of Marina Bay Sands coupled with a nice and cozy ambience 🥂
Went with their Artisanal “Giuseppe Cocco “ Linguine topped with Hokkaido sea urchin and Capesante with Hand-Dived Hokkaido scallops.
Portions were small but delicious, truly invoking a sense of ‘amore del bel paese’ 🇮🇹
Excellent service by the staff, good food and superb views what more can one ask for. Two
thumbs up!!
Had early dinner and we had the whole place to ourselves! Great service with attention to details and nice view, except that the Merlion was blocked by trees outside. Used Burpple’s 1 for 1 to try the Linguine and Tagliolini, and we preferred the former. Complimentary bread was fragrant. We also got a cheese platter and a chocolate banana mousse which were both nice too. We were not expecting our sparkling water to cost $9 though.. 😵
