Both dishes were very nice as the mentaiko was creamy and tasty. However, slightly pricy.
Don’t just focus on what’s before you, cause you might tend to miss out the greatest thing in life, Mentaiko 🙃.
Still my favourite place to head for fresh and delicious salmon mentaiko sushi and all their other dishes are great too! My favourite has to be the triple salmon with 3 (!!!) flavours of salmon and the soft shell crab hand roll that is just packed full of deliciousness!!! Would recommend this place to anyone (but I don’t think it needs any more publicity, judging from the queues!) if you love sushi and you love salmon, check this place out!!! Seriously some days the queue is ridiculous but people (like me) still choose to wait. There’s just something about Genki that’s so addictive, is it the trains on which the food comes to us? I’ll never know, but what I know is my must buys at Genki. The Chirashi Don, mentaiko salmon and spicy salmon roll. That’s really all I need!
Decent sushi at a rather affordable price.
Highly recommend the tamago mentaiko sushi, super sweet tamago together with a super flavourful mentaiko sauce ❤️❤️❤️(which was definitely one of the highlights and super tasty)
Scallop and unagi was a little lacking and had little bite( it was rather thin) though there was a nice smoky flavour for the unagi.
$17.77 for 4 plates. It was a decent sushi snack and we had a good time.
Let's not compare this over conventional Sushi at other cheaper alternatives (supermarkets,...).
Quality of food is really good. Fresh salmon and their Ocha (green tea) is rather special as customers can prepare their own tea using their desired amount. Plain water is also available. Service is really good and fast.
What i really love was their Spicy Salmon Gunkan. You can't taste it is raw. So, i dare those that are agraid of raw salmon to give this a try.
Must try: Spicy Salmon, Chawamushi, soft-shelled crab, pan-seared salmon (if you love mentaiko).

This is basically blowtorched mentai tamago!! Soo goooood, the char on the tamago and the sweet-salty combo of tamago and mentai was great!! It's no wonder genki sushi is always so crowded, even on a Monday night.

First, it was the heavy shower. Then came the mayhem. Complete war zone. 😱😱 | Anyway, I'm so bloody addicted to this Haru Maki Soft Shell Crab from Genki Sushi. Rice paper rolls with fresh salmon sashimi and crispy fried soft shell crab, dipped in a sweet and savoury sauce that reminded me of hoisin sauce. It was so good, I just had to order 2 more plates. 👍🏼

Hehehe gotta admit I ordered this purely cos of the title 😅 seemed fancy in a healthy way!! Looks kinda innocent till you feel that wasabi! A bit pricey for this plate cos of the simple ingredients used; But still nom nom away anyway 😁😄😋
