I think it's tapioca cake, but I may be wrong. Glory has so many similar kuehs. Quite addictive. On the starchy and sticky side.
Heads up that theirs come with coconut filling, not mouth-bursting gula melaka. That's it.
Shiok, although I'm easily satisfied with kueh pie tee. The accompanying chilli even more shiok, I kope home!
These may look like ordinary food, but the chicken rendang and chap chye were another league. Ordinary food done well. The leek and bergedil were more ordinary. I appreciate the bowl of gravy they serve everyone!

"Siamese Noodle" a vermicelli noodle garnished with egg, chives, tofu, bean sprout, sambal and lime. Vermicelli immerse in a light brown colored gravy made from rempah spice paste, tamarind and salted soy bean.
This dish is a hit for me I can't describe the taste in a good way but I think because of different range of ingredients from sweet, sour to spicy flavour. One thing I don't like is the overflowing gravy. Since the gravy is full of flavour I think no need to put too much of it, just a recommendation.
It's the pity the popiah was unavailable that day, but the nasi padang style dishes showcased a variety usage of spices which did left a lasting impression.
Nothing beats home-cooked Mee Siam. Nonetheless, the Mee Siam at Glory is value for money and the service is fast. Seating area is rather noisy and cramped but it's ok for a quick meal. I also come here regularly for the popiah. The Mee Siam is generously laden with tau kwa and just enough Ku chai, tau cheo and sambal. The gravy is tangy and tasty without being too "jelak".
Eating at this place felt like coming to a relative's house and served a home-cooked meal.
I had a mee siam. This was more a nyonya/peranakan style rather than malay style though honestly I don't know much about the difference. Is "comforting" a taste? Coz that's what I tasted. They were not heavy on anything, everything was just perfectly balanced. Slightly sour, slightly sweet, and very refreshing with a touch of lime. The chilli was very good and punchy too. Vermicelli was not too soft and soaked up the gravy well.
Overall I had a nice satisfying breakfast and felt like I was home.

This may not look pretty but itโs one of the best popiah I ever had in Singapore by far. Not only the chilli was damn spicy (me like!), the size of the popiah is almost twice as big as the normal one. Itโs definitely worth that $3 per roll. Well, the Chilli on the Kueh Pie Tee is much more on the sweeter side but overall, BOTH of them are yummilious!!!
