The salted egg sauce had just enough salted egg taste and the combination with the battered and fried prawn was very good! The prawns were plump and juicy enough πŸ˜‹

Made our own popiahs. Their turnip mixture is a little different w bamboo shoots, carrot, cabbage, long beans, dried shrimp..πŸ˜‹ And that chilli they have really give a very good kick, leaving your lips numb but very shiok! #goodchancepopiah #popiah #burpple #hokkien

Popiah is the no.1 local food that I really adore, so when I finally got a chance to visit good chance boy was I excited. Thankfully my expectations were met. The Popiah here has one of the most well simmered radish fillings I've had in Singapore. This could be due to the abundant dried shrimp added to enhance the flavor. Another key element would be the Popiah skin and kick ass chilli & sweet sauce spread that made a perfect marriage.
Moving on we had an order of the salted egg yolk crayfish &Kong Ba pau. The former was worth a try with the tasty salted egg yolk sauce, the fact that the plate was wiped clean w/o a drip left is testament. However the latter was disappointing especially after learning that the pork belly is fried before being braised. We were wondering why the meat was not juicy and particularly tough... I guess we found out why..

The last time I had this was way more than 10 years ago which they shifted location and I totally forgot about it's name so I couldn't locate it. Thanks to Google, I finally found my way back here!

It was my first time eating hae zhor with coleslaw. The hae zhor was too soft to my liking but it tasted quite nice when it was hot. It was not very good when it turned cold (the restaurant is air-conditioned); it was not crispy anymore and the insides were mushy. Have to eat it hot when served!

Verrrrrry nice! After I took my first sip, I understood why so many food bloggers recommended this soup. It does not have the stinky fishy smell. It has the natural sweetness from the fish and the soup is a little thick due to the starchiness of yam. πŸ‘

Average... I was a little disappointed coz the savory pig trotters taste was there but the bee hoon had not been stir-fried long enough in the sauce. It was supposed to have this sticky feeling but it was absent. Wasted... πŸ˜•

My first attempt of wrapping my own popiah. Big failure! Everything was falling apart but still taste very good. Haha πŸ˜†

Everything was so wonderful. Though DIY was the selling point, I find the stir-fried veggies very tasty and nicely done. Must must must try their chilli. It's super shiok! Of course, the whole hands-on experience of making popiah was very fun too.

Not bad for first try. hur hur.. Good chance I'll get better at it 😝

Yes, I'm that serious in finding the best Popiah in Singapore. This was a letdown considering the hype and the queue.

Step 1: Lay out popiah paper and slap on some sweet sauce. Step 2: Add some chili and then leafy vegetables, shredded omelette, parsley and ginger. Step 3: Add a load of piping hot shredded radish. Step 4: Roll, eat!

My first attempt at rolling my very own Hokkien popiah! This little restaurant located at Jalan Bukit Merah offers many other side dishes like claypot tofu and hokkien noodles, but my favorite dish(and biggest weakness) was their Har Cheong Gai(shrimp paste fried chicken) 😍 Verdict: 7/10. I had fun rolling!

Fresh spring roll that originated from Fujian of China, the popiah is usually taken with sweet sauce, stir fried turnip, beansprouts & lettuce leaves. At Good Chance popiah, you get to wrap it yourself so it's pretty fun. The ingredients are fresh & tasty. Check out this 30-year-old family run restaurant that serves up other traditional zi char dishes too!

Had a lovely lunch here at good chance popiah. Loved the chilli and the popiah filling. The small set for 6 rolls is $19.80. It is so good. Ordered the vermicelli and the orh nee too. The vermicelli is abit oily. While the orh nee $4.80 is not recommended. The real good type of orh nee doesnt taste like this. Overall a satisfying meal, no gst or service charge. The price is what you pay. Appertiser is $1.50. Towel $0.50. Free water.
