Chunky sweet potato fries with bulgogi beef, sriracha, mozzarella cheese and a sunny side up

It’s the best savoury combination with everything on there

Beef burger with cute gudetama fried egg and bioche bun. Among character cafes, gudetama has pretty legit food. The beef patty was actually still juicy but I did wish it could be more rare. There is a ton of fries on the pan it was served on. Overall it’s okay pretty good although a lil costly. Everyone is here for the cuteness afterall 🍳

Vanilla softserve paired with yogurt, coupled with scoops of salted egg buttercream , crispy waffle basket shards and a base of assorted fruits (peach, kiwi & raspberry), served up in a parfait style. What caught us by a pleasant surprise was the ‘Gudetama’ iconic figure atop that was actually an EDIBLE piece of chocolate, which we had initially thought it was present there merely for aesthetics. The vanilla softserve is smooth, creamy albeit a little icy, not too milky yet carrying off a distinct dairy flavour and aroma that was pretty light and enjoyable. The salted egg buttercream is whipped to a thick and creamy texture, coupled with a subtle flavour that could be an acquired experience. Would be great if they were ice creams instead of buttercream! 😛 Along with chunks of assorted fresh fruits that added a refreshing, tangy note (and also alleviate the level of guilty indulgence), the same applies to the smooth and tangy greek yogurt as well! The only disappoint was the waffle basket shards that weren’t crispy at all as mentioned, with meringue-alike texture that was also solid-hard and may require a little more jaw-scissoring effort .

One of the festive seasonal items offered as part of the ‘Salted egg Shiok Christmas’ menu, this crusty bread bowl does not contain the typical soup filling but rather, an interior of macaroni bathed in a creamy salted egg sauce that oozes out slightly (swipe to view). Topped with a Gudetama sunny side up, seafood lovers would be glad to know that this dish comes with an assortment of seafood ranging from crab claw meat, squid (omitted for mine) and prawns serve in a generous portion. Along with a side of fresh garden greens (broccoli, carrots, baby corn, cherry tomatoes), the salted egg sauce is thick, creamy which could have been more prominent in flavour, lacking a characteristic tinge of saltiness. Resembling more of a Mac&cheese instead of Mac&salted egg, which wasn’t a big issue since I am personally a fan of the former. A carbs-overloaded dish with macaroni within a pillowy bread bowl and topped with a crusty, crisp ‘cap’, the main highlight for me here has got to be the seafood elements- thefresh and juicy crab claw meat and prawns 💕.

Steak with mashed potatoes, mushroom sauce, broccoli and baby carrots. Get the beef medium rare - it’s just right like this. Any more heat and it might be too tough. The mushroom sauce went very well with the meat and the mashed potatoes (and I guess, the vegetables, because there isn’t any other sauce).

Easily our favourite dish - sweet potato fries with bulgogi and cheese (there’s also supposed to be sriracha but we asked them not to put it in). It’s tasty and extremely addictive. Filling too.
