Definitely here for the most talked-about Buffalo Wings with 6 levels of intensity dependence on customers’ preference & tolerance for spiciness. Level 1 of 4 wings for $10.95, half dozen for $14.95. Additional $1 for each level increase. The wings were crispy & tasty! Hazard Warning: order of level 5 & 6 at your own risk!
Another must order for us is Deep Fried Mushrooms ($7.95 small/$12.95 regular) Fresh
button mushrooms in special batter that was light & served with tartar sauce. Eat with care as these juicy mushrooms were piping hot inside!
Mocktails for the nite: Virgin Margarita ($7.95) & Gunner ($8.95)
1st try on their Southern Chilli with corn chips & bread ($21.95) but it was a disappointment. The minced beef with beans was simply too dry!
Grilled dishes on our table were BBQ Prawn Delight ($24.95) & Grilled Cod Fish ($24.95). These were fresh & good 😘

Hidden spot at Jalan Kayu with cozy country atmosphere and the owner must be a true aeroplane fan to create such old school layout. Do challenge their buffalo wings at different levels of spiciness. We were humble enough to go for the Level 2, it was more of sweet-bbq than smokey-bbq type. Spiciness at level 2 was very mild. We also ordered the oxtail stew (tender oxtail cooked in peppery base), seafood platter (deep fried dory, prawn, calamari, potato wedges and coleslaw), beef brisket and pulled pork combo (both meat were rather dry and bland) and potato skin (generously loading with cheese but lacking the bacon factor). Total we spent $128 for these 3 mains and 2 sides.

All American and delightful. Jerry's need no introduction!


One of the oldest joint on jalan kayu, as long as I can remember. (Since I am practically raised there). The food never change, and they are famous for the buffalo wings and ribs! Never fail to deliver, everything is so homely and perfect. Take these ribs, the meat practically fail off the bone. No need for cutleries, just use the your bare hands. This little restaurants is as Americans as it can get. You wouldn't regret.

Level 3 (Fire Plus) was manageable, not as spicy as i expected. The wings were crispy too.


The shattering crunch from the paper thin batter explains the popularity of this signature starter. Do exercise caution when eating because those mushrooms sure are juicy.

Guy Fieri of "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives" has a lot to answer for. Every time he shows up on TV gushing over yet another smoked/barbecued meat joint, I am hit by this urge to take a road trip and eat my way across the U.S. of A. Well, until that day arrives, a trip to "Jerry's BBQ & Grill" will have to do. Luckily, they do a commendable job. I could really taste their efforts in the meats I'd ordered.
The pulled pork, which was cloaked in a mesmerising smoky aroma, was really tender. Accentuating it in the best way possible was the most amazing home-made BBQ sauce (seriously, this thing of tangy beauty blows all other BBQ sauces clear out of the water!) The beef brisket was just as tender but I have to say, for me, the pork was the winner by a snout.

Lamb was nice but the corn and sides were tasteless.
