💸Two Face Burnt Cheesecake: $8.50
...
Been here a couple of times for their bread and it’s our first time trying their cake!! The half original, half matcha cheesecake didn’t exactly have a burnt taste🤔but there is a good balance of matcha and cheese☺️ Also, most people are there for their bread which taste pretty good- had their bacon & egg bagel, nonya curry chicken, butter char siew and more but maybe they can be a little more generous with their filling😂

Finally caved in to trying the Two Faced (~$8) cheesecake and matcha burnt cake after seeing it everywhere on insta 🧀🍵
.
Maybe it was because I had too high expectations from the reviews, but I wasn’t as impressed as I expected to be. Although it looked burnt, the cheesecake didn’t taste burnt much — I preferred the burnt taste of the cheesecake at The Kins.
.
The mix of cheesecake and matcha could have been done better: the cheesecake overpowered the matcha too much and I ended up having to separate both layers to appreciate each taste. Though disappointed at this mismatch, each individual flavour was well done; especially the matcha 🍵

Ig @goodfomood

Overall, these 2 cakes were really good and cheesy. Loved the difference in texture between the harder burnt part and the soft interior which was almost oozing. The original might get jelak, so best to share, although it is super cheesy and satisfying. The two-faced gave a good balance of matcha and cheese, making it less jelak.

Burnt cheesecake paired with rich uji matcha sauce in a crisp, flaky pastry shell. Couldn't really taste the "burnt component" of the cheesecake though. Hence while its a nice rendition, I would personally prefer the pure Matcha cruffin over this one😅 .

For those seeking to kill 2 birds with 1 stone, the Two Face ($8.50) would be the go-to selection, featuring both Original and Matcha in a single burnt cheesecake, though (as you can see from the picture) there was an obvious bias towards the latter, hence the taste of Matcha dominates, though the Original's flavour was not entirely lost

The best basque cheesecake? Probably!
Made with 4 cheese, I LOVE the original one
The matcha was good too, impressed by how both cheese and matcha flavor stands out without diminishing one another but compared to the original, I’ll definitely take the original one.
The original one really had the perfect flavors of cheese and sweetness, and of course some bitterness from the burnt part. My favorite part is the ‘melted’ part towards the center. Heavenly. The burnt part was denser and more bitter but also ok especially when eaten alternately with the melted part
Overal I REALLY RECOMMEND the original one. SO GOOD!
