Kinki Restaurant + Bar is a refreshing urban concept with a breathtaking view of the waterfront and skyline of Marina Bay. Its cheeky moniker hints of creativity in cuisine and atmosphere, setting Kinki apart from conventional Japanese restaurants. The menu explores cooking techniques that complement Japanese cuisine, uncompromising on the freshness of top quality, rare and seasonal items from Japan. An extension of the restaurant is its rooftop bar located on the third floor which overlooks a breathtaking, panoramic view of the Marina Bay skyline and waterfront. Its edgy and urban vibe is reminiscent of Tokyo’s hip street watering holes. With an entrance flowered by pink sakuras, a riot of vibrant colours and graffiti scattered across the bar, the casual mood makes it a great place to chill with friends and unwind after a hard day’s work.

This made me go wow

A perfect candy like char siew style crust, with the fluffiest interior. Even the herbs were used beautifully, the mild celery flavours complementing the sweetness of the pork perfectly

The only problem is that the crunch dissipates quickly, within minutes.

Otherwise must try

The Barramundi was meaty, rice was nice and has depth w the mushrooms adding umami, and there's crispy bits at the bottom

Pretty decent, except the portion is absolutely tiny and doesn't even feed one. Tapas sized for this price, unacceptable

Pan-seared seafood gyoza stuffed with fish, scallops, white onions, cabbage and prawns, best dipped in the sweet and sour sauce.

Niigata Koshihikari rice mixed with boiled edamame, deep-fried wakame and puffed rice in a claypot, atop with Canadian lobster tail is grilled with spicy mayonnaise sauce. It was then heated on the stove for a deep charred flavour, the claypot is brought to the table and unveiled alongside a teapot filled with a secret Kinki broth.
