[CLOSED] Kopi Alley (Woodlands Civic Centre)

Sweet Potato Toast. Came to try the yam and butter, but they have changed their specials to this and also salted cream cheese (sounds tempting too). Good to see the inventiveness but at $3...I think I'd rather Coffee Break? :X

Those who know me well would know I love Kaya Toast to bits. Have always wanted to try the yam variants (I love yam too!) but hadn't been hardworking enough to reach them early enough for breakfast. Quite a pleasant surprise that there is one from my neighbourhood. They didn't even scrimp on the yam spread on this one, nor on the butter; each just comes in such thick layers in between the crisp bread. I like how the combination goes too; earthy flavours with a little tinge of saltiness from the huge slab of butter, which really goes together well especially if you are one who cringe on how sweet Kaya can be. Certainly good to try out if you hadn't tried anything similar before!

I like how Kopi Alley does their toasts super crisp, but it would really help if they are as generous with their Kaya as with their butter as it tasted rather improportional.

Lukewarm eggs, cold toast & horrid service. First & last time I'm here.
