Tried the Lai Lai Xiao Mei Set, and it’s definitely worth it! The Ru Rou Fan was the highlight—fatty pork belly braised with that rich, savoury sauce soaking perfectly into the fluffy rice. The Taiwan vermicelli had a smooth, slurp-worthy broth, super comforting. And of course, no Taiwan meal is complete without bubble tea. Noodles lover can get try their Lai Lai Da Ge. Each set comes with side dish and bubble tea. Also had their Signature Taiwan pancake, popcorn chicken and braised pig intestines.
Overall, a solid meal. Portion size is decent, flavours are on point, and everything comes together nicely.

Lai Lai Taiwan Casual Dining offers a fuss-free spot for hearty Taiwanese dishes. We started with the signature Stewed Beef Noodles, served in a generous portion with thick, chewy noodles and plenty of tender beef chunks. The beef, juicy and flavorful with bits of tendon, stood out as the highlight of the dish. However, the broth was a letdown—it had an aromatic, mildly spicy kick but lacked the depth and savoriness expected from a beef-based soup, tasting a little watered down.
Next, we tried the Braised Pork Rice, a comforting dish with fluffy pearl rice, braised peanuts, and a hard-boiled egg. The pork belly pieces, though flavorful, were inconsistent in texture—some were tender and juicy, while others felt tough and dry. Despite this, the dish offered a satisfying, homely experience.
The Taiwan Pancake, however, stole the show. The crispy exterior paired perfectly with the savory pork floss and melted cheese inside, creating a snack that was both indulgent and addictive. Although slightly oily, it delivered on flavor and texture, making it the standout of the meal.
The restaurant’s ambience is simple, spacious, and comfortable, perfect for casual dining. However, it tends to fill up quickly during peak hours, so arriving early is a good idea. Overall, Lai Lai Taiwan Casual Dining offers a mix of hits and misses but makes for an enjoyable spot to explore Taiwanese cuisine.
Lunch at Lai Lai Taiwan restaurant on 3 July 2023. Disappointed with cash payment mode. Unable to use credit card in a restaurant shopping mall.
Visited on 17 july 2022. Was informed that burpple cannot be used, deal cannot be redeem. So take note.
Stumbled upon this Taiwanese eatery at City Square Mall, and was pleasantly surprised at how affordable their set meal was. Priced at $16.90, the Lai Lai Da Ge set came with a bowl of beef noodles with a choice of Taiwanese bubble tea, and a side of century egg and tofu. The fact that the beef noodles ala carte already costs $13.90 makes this set worth it! The beef noodles were pretty decent, with the noodles itself soft and chewy, but somehow texture wise was more like udon than anything else. The broth was light, with an appetising taste, though I also thought it could have been thicker and richer in flavour. Century egg and tofu was everything you’d expect. The milk tea had an apparent red tea flavour, pleasantly surprising me. Opted for the less sugar option but it was already too sweet for me, probably because of the sweetened pearls. Nonetheless, pretty decent Taiwanese fare at an affordable price!

Flavorful rice paired well with fish. Milk tea was good but slightly on the sweeter side, crepe was good!
Food is ok but service isn't that great. Checked with the service crew for recommendation, however, she didn't assist further. Only 1 Burpple redemption allowed per dining session. So we can't have the dessert.
Claypot beef
Had generous amounts of beef in there. Sauce is very thick. Ive never been to Taiwan before so I'm not sure how it compares.
Available on burpple 1 for 1.
I have been waiting and wanting to eat this for the longest! The noodles were really soft and the sauce was flavourful, however the ratio of the noodles to the sauce is 1:2.
Overall: 7/10
Not too bad a bowl of vermicelli, pig intestines were nice but I wish they gave more of it, considering its original price. Bowl was quite big but unfortunately most of it was soup - the actual vermicelli and pig intestines weren’t much.
Overall a nice meal but small quantity, not worth the original price. We used the Beyond 1-for-1 deal so it wasn’t too bad.
On the inside - soft, fluffy white bread sandwiched with peanut butter. On the outside, lightly fried/French-toasted and topped with peanuts and peanut sauce. Not too sweet actually, which was good.
Wouldn’t pay for it at original price but with the Beyond deal it’s rather reasonable. After GST we paid $8 for 2 toasts with the Beyond deal.
Do note that you have to pick the item from the same category when using the deal - so you either get 2 toasts or 2 desserts with this.
It was easy to find seats for two on a weekday night when we visited.
This is essentially soft and fluffy white bread sandwiched with butter on the inside, lightly fried / French-toasted and topped with pork floss on the outside. It was okay-okay.
I definitely wouldn’t pay for this at full price (I haven’t even added in the GST yet) but with the Beyond deal it was pretty alright. After GST we paid $8 for 2 toasts with the Beyond deal.

We ordered this expecting it to be served in a bowl form (like a dessert to be shared) but this drink was a pleasant surprise!
It was super refreshing, and has a good mix of red bean and milk. Highly recommended to all the red bean lovers :)
This was their signature beef noodles, which you can opt for the soup or dry version. The beef taste is quite strong, so people who don’t have a strong liking for beef, please take note! Think they also cooked the broth with lots of herbs so you can taste that as well.
Very generous with their beef cubes, which were quite a good bite. Noodles are thick and qq. Soup is already slightly spicy but it tastes better if you pair it with their chili (request from them)!
The dish is very simple – thick QQ noodles, beansprouts, carrot, cucumber, and a spoonful of well-marinated minced meat! The sauce doesn’t seem much but it’s actually q salty so just a small amount is sufficient to coat the whole bowl of noodles. We realized that the serving size for their noodles is much bigger than their rice dishes. Almost couldn’t finish this!
排骨蛋盖饭 $9.80++
Serving size was quite small so it can be easily finished by one pax. Pork ribs were quite soft and fall-off-the-bone kinda texture. From the colour you’d expect the sauce to be thick and savoury, but it’s actually on the bland side. Eggs were cooked well and paired well with the pork ribs and rice!
Beef was tender and flavorful. The beef bowl comes with scrabbled egg also. Balanced and healthy meal!
