A beautiful cup of flat white served. With the nice art on my cuppa, it made me feels happier.
A nice chill out place about 5 to 8 minutes walk away from Farrer Park station. Will be back for more. 😊
This cup has a balanced proportion of both the milk & espresso shots.
The sofa seats looks so comfortable. Haha but they are probably popular and hard to get hold of. Wifi and power socket are available, but strangely the sockets I tried to use don't seem to be working, I will still give them the benefit of the doubt that it is probably spoilt.
About this pasta, I have to say I am slightly disappointed. The pasta itself is okay BUT the prawns are seriously overcooked. Even though it has been partial deshelled in the mid section, while biting it, it still felt like there is a layer of shell outside =/ #burpple
Tom yum sauce lacked flavour and depth. Very salty, one dimensional and tasted like it was straight from a packet. Crayfish wasn't the freshest and was quite bland. Overall not worth it for the price of $24++, wouldn't recommend this.
Café feels French, coffee tastes robusta Brazilian. L'etoile is one of those quaint café that sits quietly on the roadside drawing you towards it with all its charm. Sit back, order an oreo cheesecake ($5), some espresso ($4) or an iced tea ($5) if it is too hot, and feel yourself smiling pleasantly.
The toast is so fluffy... And the hand made whipped cream taste so buttery.... The berry compote just add extra flavor to the "oready very flavorful " bread.
Big breakfast and Egg Benedict was just above average. Disappointing steak sandwich and unlucky day for us as their upper deck was closed for renovation. Incomplete experience but did love to visit again. Full review at www.imhaydenchan.blogspot.com
3 craycrayfish, tom-YUM pasta. It was a giant portion that I ended up finishing anyway, must be the food debt accumulated over the past few weeks hehe. I like tomyum but not good with spiciness, so I loved that this was quite light, more like tomyum-infused tomato-based pasta. It wasn't that spicy and sourness was just right. The crunchy lettuce was a nice touch and the juicy mushrooms tasted truffle-y!
I love Bread & Butter Pudding but it's not as commonly found around town as it I'd like it to be. However, I found it at L'Etoile Cafe at Owen Road with Kimberly one day! It was more cake-like and with a scoop of ice-cream unlike how I usually have it but it worked well enough for me!
a really cosy place with all sorts of furniture, we sat here for a few hours straight just chilling and talking over lunch and cakes! we had a beef burger, l'etoile grilled chicken salad, matcha azuki cake, flat white + earl grey lavender bundt cake (not pictured)
Coffee lovers will be happy to hear that the cafe roasts their own coffee bean and makes decent coffee.
After a day of wanting to explore the jalan besar cafes, we somehow or rather ended up here, after like 2 hours plus walk. Trust me, do your research thoroughly before deciding. Most of the cafes that we wanted to go are closed for some events and just closed. Half way throughly the walk(finding for some cafes) i had a sudden craving for egg benedicts. So wa la~~~ here we are at L'etoile cafe! The service was excellent, i must say, and the atmosphere was really cosy and relaxing. Beside their counter, they have this mini shop, selling small trinkets. I bought some, despite the prices, cause it's really cute. The place we were sitting was a sofa with bookshelf. I'd come here again, cause for every $15(? I think) you spent there, you get a stamp and if you collect all the stamp, you'd get something. 👍
Really tasty imho, not overly spicy, slightly sour. But if you like a heavy taste of Tom yom you may not like. 3 Hugeeee crayfish for $23.90!
Bagel + Egg Benedict + Truffle Fries + Big Breakfast + Caesar Salad + Latte + Mocha + Long Black = all these for only 3 people. OMG! Sadly to say the eggs weren't very fresh and the salad was way too little. The plating was so so. However, the ambient was great!
The bagel was way too tough. But the long black was good. For those who like the coffee not too sour, you will love it.
Sugalight ice cream after a creamified eggys dinner. Decided on Cookie Monster because the latter title describes my personality when it comes to food pretty well indeed. For an ice cream that uses no sugar, (just stevia and xylitol) it is really quite delicious. Now that I've consumed the monster, I want to consume all the rest too. MOAR.
All happy in thy tummy! Them eggys are balancing atop whole meal bread so yesss! Extra oomph. Don't get me started on the hollandaise sauce because ~CREAMMMEHH~ *stars in thy eyes* lovin' the atmosphere of the cafe as well. Weekday dinner also means more of an 'om' time! Yay!
