With a raspberry compote hidden beneath the croissant, you will get a burst of tangy surprise when you bite towards the centre. The buttery outer crust of the croissant makes it a delightful pairing together with the bittersweet shaved chocolate pieces. For fans of flaky croissant this might be slightly different as it has more of a denser overall texture.

Koki's shuu ($4.30 each) hold a very special place in my heart, partially due to the highly disproportionate (but in a good way) ratio of cream to choux pastry, as well as the light, incredibly fluffy cream filling that somehow manages to maintain a delicate balance of flavours without being tooth-hurtingly sweet. While the raspberry rose shuu seemed to be more rose than raspberry, the black sesame shuu boasted a distinct nuttiness and aroma- I instantly knew that it was the real deal! Personally, the matcha shuu is still my number one, possessing a lovely matcha fragrance with a delightfully bitter aftertaste us matcha fanatics all look out for. 🍵🍵🍵

Gorgeous desserts to end the night on a sweet note. Hits and misses for certain elements of the parfaits but my favorite is still the hanami one. (Thanks hand-mode Rainel!😁) Also pictured are the pretty Christmas eclairs ($7 ea)- Kir Royale, a perfumey combination of champagne and cassis creme, marzipan, berries and edible flowers; Kuri Mikan, the mont-blanc look alike with marron glacé, Curaçao creme, orange confit. The chestnut flavour was not strong with this one. Eclairs were sadly dry. (if I'm not wrong, they will be rolling out customization for the eclairs soon.)

LOVED how the place looks - contrary to what the name karafuru is (colorful), the cafe was all-white, with a little black AND they recently collaborated with Alice & Olivia (can I bring the cushions home?!😂) This was hosted by Karafuru Desserts and thanks Burpple for the invite!

completely empty??! Lovely space colourfully decorated in a spring-like theme. Had the banana paap pudding and the milk caramel som som latte (soymilk option available yayyyyy), which I worried was going to be a sugar overload. Thankfully the flower pot paap wasn't as sweet as I thought it was going to be and was full of real banana chunks - kinda like a dense chiffon cake+cream more than a pudding. The cotton candy on the som som latte was not too sticky and melted immediately in my mouth. The espresso in the latte is quite strong so you can use the cotton candy to add more sweetness if needed. Was surprised that the two together was only $14, a low price for such a dessert experience IMO. A great place for girlfriends to hang out! #Burpple

Sharing a space with Ssiksin Chicken at nex, Snowman Desserts is a Korean cafe serving bingsu along with a variety of Korean desserts such as Hotteok and J-Cone ($3 each). Choose from a wide variety of toppings to have with the smooth milk ice such as strawberry, melon, chocolate and red bean. Have one of their Original Churros ($2.50) which are freshly made in-house, and go for the Mango Bingsu ($12.90) which has some of the fattest mango chunks seen on a bingsu!

Strawberry Ice Cream Waffles (SGD $14.90++) - Blossom shaped waffles topped with strawberry ice cream that compliments well with the waffles. Not the type of waffles that I will like because the waffle texture is slightly dry and dense, which I would prefer it to be more crispy.

💕 Black sesame & red bean bingsu with roasted almonds. The most unique thing about nunsongyee is how fine and smooth their shaved ice is that you can't even tell it's ice 😂 Quality indeed 👍 #burpple

Yay to a new outlet around the hood! This matcha lava cake was really yummy - a good balance between the richness and sweetness. Sync has really scored with this dessert!
