Weekday lunch set below 20 & atas atm ( appetizer: carrot soup, main: sea bass , drink: peach / raspberry tea,dessert: bread and butter) don't really like the service there thou ((not very prompt and caring to teenage customers(us)) , and the food were just average. The tea was expected to be Brewed from scratch, the salad was expected to be raw salmon salad, the dessert was too big of a portion that seems to cheat my feelings. By adding just condensed milk on the top of the dessert( bread and butter), it does not seem to be of a high standard that the atmosphere promises to have . Disappointed and will only go there for the desserts that I have eyed on and will only spoil myself if I need some high class dessert cravings

Got really excited when they serve Chicken & Waffles because this is one place so had been constantly coming back for ever since my polytechnic days. Their Buttermilk Waffles might be soft but they come pretty fragrant and with a cheese & herb aroma; pretty different from most I have tried, along with fried chicken that was crisp and tender. One of the more impressionable Chicken & Waffles I had as they are usually pretty mediocre. Never try ordering this alone; this was filling considering I had no proper breakfast and dinner the day before ....

One day, someone somewhere went "Hey, how do I make Spam even more unhealthy?" The answer, was of course, to deep fry that over salted can of pork. Little Hiro may not have burger perfection, but they are certainly at the top of their game when it comes to their Spam Fries. Crispy down to the last salty bit without going ham on the grease, it was certainly enjoyable. The curry mayo took this to the next level with its surprisingly excellent companionship with the Spam Fries, somehow managing to take the salty edge off the Spam while maintaining insane amounts of flavor. It's a travesty that Little Hiro doesn't bottle and sell their curry mayo sauce.

White bricked and wooden walls with yellow tables (hmm...). Probably can find some eye candies to hang out with?

Ocean Crab Meat with Spicy Tomato Sauce (SGD 15.90) - Portion was on the smaller side but it was pretty flavourful when the spicy taste kicked in. Would prefer an al dente version of the pasta though.

faith in thai food restored. anytime a mum pop store with an ensemble of thais in the kitchen will make me excited. nothing fanciful here, just sincere homey fork tender braised pork knuckle with rice. simple does it.

A new Lady M at Westgate. This is the Marron chestnut cream Mille Crepe. Feels like it's having Mont Blanc and crepe at the same time. Lovely.

I still remember when I was in the secondary school, my mom often brought me here because the army market is just located Upstair and they sell all the essential items for NPCC which is my CCA .
After which ,during my internship period for polytechnic, my intern was located really close by here so i often head over for lunch break.
There are actually many awesome food here such as the chicken rice, hokkien mee but i got to say one of my fav got to be the Ah balling gluttonous rice balls! The store have been there for quite sometime. They sell rice balls with many flavours such as green tea,red bean,peanut and sesame seed.
I love that the price is so reasonable (5 for $2) and the balls are so big,chewy and fully filled with fillings. Beware of the oozing of the fillings though! haha.
After wards the balls will then be served in either peanut or ginger soup. Peanut is more favourable for me as I feel that it's tasty but not too sweet.
Even though i have officially ended my intern but whenever I am nearby , i would try to make it a point to head down for it!
So head over and try it if you love 汤圆 . Btw it's at #01-75

Welcome to my neighborhood, Korean authentic food and authentic ajummonim here. Flaunted my Korean speaking skills and she praised my fluent Korean ahahhaha.
