While you kick back over a tropical tipple, young ones can play on the sand at this restobar by the beach. On food, there's plenty to keep both the kids and you wide-eyed — think sweet teriyaki Huli Huli Chicken (from $15) and Kalua Pork Pizza ($15). Also get the Haupia Sphere ($19.50), a fun chocolate ball dessert that melts as you drizzle warm chocolate sauce over it.

Let the kids play pancake chef at this interactive parlour in town. They'll love the hands-on action — whipping up pancakes in different shapes and sizes. Go with either the buttermilk or chocolate Batter ($8.50) and then decide on toppings, like sweet Chocolate Chips ($1.50) or savoury Crispy Bacon ($2). To keep tummies from rumbling as the DIY goes down, order the tasty Country Chicken ($14) to munch on.

TBB's spanking new safari-themed outlet is housed in a gorgeous glamping set-up, sharing an outdoor play area with adjacent Open Farm Community. Mom friends, catch up in the cosy tent over the delicious Kouign Amman ($3.50) and a healthful Beetroot or Turmeric Ginger Latte ($6.50 each) exclusive to this outlet. When the children are done frolicking outside, get 'em the winning Pulled Pork Burger ($9)!

Come weekends, this stalwart gastrobar ticks all the right boxes for a family outing — a bouncy castle for the little ones, yummy food AND tipples for parents who need a drink. The modern European fare is a hit with adults, but rocks easy flavours that will surely impress the kids too! Don't miss the cheesy, eggy Ravioli Alla Fornarina Con Tartufo Nero ($28) and the Villaggio di Bergamo Pizza ($28) with wagyu meatballs to share.

Forget the cutlery and get your hands dirty for seafood piled high on the table. The Venus Clams ($21), Tiger Prawns ($26) and Boston Mussels ($25) are all great options — 1-for-1, fresh and guaranteed to be a hit with the kids when doused in luscious butter sauce. For a more balanced meal to feed the kids, get the garlicky Mum's Pasta ($16) that's also served in a bag with clams!

There is plenty of space at this open-air, park side cafe for big groups and the play area is set smack in the middle, so you can keep a watchful eye over the little ones as they mingle. Make sure to order the gooey Mac and Cheese ($14.80) that isn't too jelat, and is great for sharing with the kids. The dessert counter is also well-stocked with yummy cakes, so go ahead and treat yourself to something while waiting.

Pop over to celebrity chef Jamie Oliver's restaurant in Forum Shopping Mall for a meal that will satisfy all. Parents, share the scrumptious Funghi Pizza ($23.50) and expect well-thought out fare for your toddler — think balanced Five-A-Day Picnic Box (from $9.50) with chicken wrap, rainbow vegetable crisps and fruits to Happy Chicken Lollipops (from $9.50)! P.S. The children's menu also double as colouring paper.

Head on down to this beautiful Dempsey bakery for a dreamy time with your little princesses. The colourful cakes on offer will be a treat for the kids, but the options for equally colourful, healthy 1-for-1 mains will help make it all better! Order a Happy Granola Bowl ($18.90) with tons of strawberries and blueberries or the Rice Bowls (from $18.90) that all come with carrots, corn and broccoli toppings.
