The chicken from Arabica Kebab at Marsiling Mall Hawker Centre offers great value at $12 for a half portion of spring chicken, served over flavourful basamic rice.
It's both enjoyable and satisfying, making it a worthwhile dining option.
Iced chendol to complete the meal.

Most people would queue up for the Lor Mee or Pork Ribs Prawn Noodles at Ye Lai Xiang, but my favourite would always be their Laksa. For $4 a bowl, you get the necessary fixings of boiled egg, tau pok, decently sized fresh cockles and fishcakes atop their thick beehoon, then doused with their creamy & flavorful laksa broth - very value-for-money & super satisfying! The gravy would have been more perfect if the hae bi savouriness was more prominent, but nevertheless delightful to slurp on with the thick bee hoon. It's not fiery spicy so spice lovers might appreciate it as much, though you can help yourself to more sambal. โฃ

Starting our morning right with ๐™Ž๐™š๐™ฉ ๐˜ผ ($3.50) that came with 4 kaya toast pieces, 2 eggs and a kopi โ€˜oโ€™, and ๐™Ž๐™š๐™ฉ ๐˜ฝ ($2.70) which was similar but without the drink โ˜€๏ธ

Kaya butter toast: Very crispy thin! Just the right thickness of butter, kaya leaned on the less sweet spectrum but could be more fragrant. I liked how they used the traditional brown bread though number of butter slices was inconsistent.

Eggs: Yolks were soft and creamy ๐Ÿณ

Overall, my dad preferred this to Ya Kun due to its affordability and decent quality!! Thereโ€™s always a queue at this stall despite a few other stalls selling kaya toasts in the same hawker centre, and I can now see why after trying ๐Ÿ˜‹

Ordered a soup based Min Hoon Kuei for $4. The kuei has chewy texture as they are โ€œpinchedโ€ and not roll flat. Deep flavour anchovy soup. It is rare that this stall still makes their fried shallots that has a earthy flavour to the dish. Good amount of meat and Chinese spinach added. A hearty meal. One of the best Min Hoon Kuei !

Today I brace myself to join the queue, and I ordered the Buddha Jump Over the wall with Olive rice.
The soup is comforting, tasty and without msg, served with ingredients like fish maw, chicken drumsticks, mushroom and abalone.

Among all the stalls here, thereโ€™s a few selling noodles. Whatโ€™s make this stall special is that it was your foods are prepared by this young man.

Yum-Mee Minced Meat Noodle opens early in the morning till afternoon, selling a few choices of noodle.

The laksa creamy, tasty and lemak (not overwhelming).
Don't forget to add the chilli into the gravy, its really enhanced the flavour of it. It becomes robust.

Quite rare to find good HK-styled chee cheong fun in our area so Iโ€™m glad we have this gem in MMHC! Itโ€™s $2.50 per strip (there are two strips here in the photo) and they have different flavours: char siew, prawn, mushroom, floss and a few more others!

Worth a try. Sauce is v flavourful and every CCF order is freshly made upon order :)

I ordered red grouper fish, and its come with 3 ingredients only, fish, yam and Chinese cabbage.
The taste of the soup very light, even have dried sole fish , but can't taste it at the soup.
The sweetness of the soup comes from Chinese cabbage.
The fish meat is chunky and not boneless and a lot of yam inside ๐Ÿ˜….
I feel a bit pricey, since only have 3 ingredients inside and for 2 pax.
๐Ÿ’ฐ$32 for 2 pax.

One of our favourites from Woodlands BBQ Fish! #01-58 at Marsiling Mall Hawker Centre

Meat is fresh and cooked really well. The pairing with their sambal sauce makes the dish so addictive!

From Woodlands BBQ Fish, #01-58 @ Marsiling Mall Hawker Centre

A vegetable dish that goes really well with all your other seafood :-)

From Woodlands BBQ Fish, located at #01-58 in Marsiling Mall Hawker Centre!

Weโ€™ve been regulars of theirs for a few years, even before they relocated from the Checkpoint :-) they are v consistent with their food quality and prices!

Sambal stingray served on a hotplate and lots of the spicy yet satisfying sambal sauce and onion slices. Price varies, depend on the size of the fish you pick. You can tell that the fish meat is vvv fresh and cooked well :-)

My final post for Marsiling Mall Hawker Center, for now.

Sheet of rice noodles freshly made to order before you. Rolled, chopped followed by drenched in light sweet soya sauce. Topped with fried scallions, spring onions & hae bee hiam chilli.

Thin, soft yet slightly resilient skin. The texture was amazing with every bite.

26 is one of my favourite number.
