McGriddles is back! This year there’s an even bigger and better version in the form of the McGriddles Stack. Double chicken sausage patties, cheese, fried egg and chicken bacon sandwiched between two maple flavoured griddle cakes. Sounds good isn’t it?
There’s a balanced sweet and savoury taste in every single bite. Such a wholesome and hearty breakfast to have and best to wash it down with some iced Milo.
You can guess by now that this is my favourite Macs breakfast item and I was gutted when it was taken off the permanent menu. So I always make sure I have it when they make their annual appearance. The best thing is that it’s available throughout the day. So night owls need not worry about missing out.
It’s one of those items where there are polarising opinions of it. As you can see, I’m all for this.
If you haven’t got your hands on it, get it while it lasts. Otherwise you gotta wait till next year.

Taste was good, however the size had shrink tremendously, it’s now about a size of a small palm, looks like a mini version.. I’m so sad to see it’s shrink size, but still thankful for it’s comeback for this time being. Located islandwide! We finally tried their new Chocolate Pie ($1.40)! Crispy pie on the outside, oozing hot chocolate in the inside once you bites on it! Sweet chocolate lover might be slightly disappointed as the Chocolate was slightly on the bitter side, leaning towards dark chocolate which we much love compared to sweet milk chocolate! After the success from last year's launch of the promotional Signature Collection, McDonald's came back with two new burgers for customers to choose from: Buttermilk Crispy Chicken Burger and Classic Angus Cheese Burger.
Somehow, holding the burger gives me a feeling that it is more solid, like it is some "atas" burger. The overall combination of the fried chicken thigh flavoured with buttermilk, Colby cheese, purple cabbage coleslaw and sliced pineapples was pleasant to my palates. Not too sure about their Roasted Sesame with Seaweed Shaker Fries though, but ordering a regular meal (S$8.95) is already good enough for me. Definitely best eaten fresh (i.e. on the spot).

The shaker fries saved the day of course! And did you know? They also have a new MOCHA MCFLURRY WITH CARAMELIZED COOKIES! Can't taste any mocha and it was SO SWEET.

Got to try the new burger from @mcdsg during its soft lunch and it's a lil disappointing TBH. Nothing fancy about it and I'm personally not a big fan of Her Cheong Gai to begin with. Compared to the previous seasonal burgers (ie Salmon, Ebi, Fish & Chips), I would say this is the weakest in flavour and novelty. The drumlets ($2.20) were good though! It was made with a different marination. Criss cut fries were the saviour of the meal for me.

First off, the McGirdles is really quite a delightful mix of sweetness with savoury goodness. I always knew that salty hash brown goes well with maple syrup, and this just confirmed the deal for me.
Highly recommend the Happy Box to be shared with a friend, unless you really, really, really, love chicken. If you are a lazy eater, the chicken meatball might be the solution for you. I appreciate the fact that I did not have to dip it into any kind of sauce since it was already loaded with pizza sauce. Was it phenomenal? Probably not so if you do not enjoy tomato based pizza sauce. Was it bad? Definitely not. As for the McWings, I would give them a miss and head right on to KFC. Sorry MacDees, but the Colonel has those chicken wings perfected to a crisp. Get the pizza bites and leave the McWings behind.
